I am looking to get a PC that will just basically be able to run EQ2 on at least medium-ish settings with decent frame rates.

my old PC (AMD x2 4400+ , GF 7900 GTX (or it may of been a 7900 GTX cant really remember...) & 2 GB ram) ran the game pretty decently on medium settings.

since I cannot use that PC anymore, I found THIS for around $400:

Intel Dual-Core E6500 2.9 Ghz2 GB ram500 GB HDDNvidia GF 9400 GT

so, was wondering. how well would that run the game compared to my old PC?

not looking to max the game or use that new 3.0 shader, just run it with medium-ish still good looking settings and get 30+ fps.

thanks SMILEY

It shoudl run it fine. Also you may want to overclock that chip by 20% depending on your motherboard that should be easy. You should notice a significant improvement to your EQ2 gaming doing that

Most new systems and motherboards have simple auto overclock tool in the bios.It basically says 10% cpu overclock, 15% CPU overlock or 20% CPU overlock. You really cant mess anything up doing this.

Its not the most efficient overclocking. As in you can get better results by hand, but it should do the trick for eq2 which is really just dependant on how high your CPU core is clocked.
