Is there a difference in how dammage is calculated in BGs from PvP? I was playing my 90 defiler in full pvp gear in BGs last night and I was getting decimated by people I can easily solo in regular pvp. On Nagafen, I can hold out against an average group for a minute or two, in BGs I am dead in seconds.

What gives?

Edit: I am Vittorius from the folow up poset below by the way

Havent noticed an appreciable difference.  Im guessing its related to a couple reasons.

1. None of your defensive procs from t8 pvp gear work in bg's.

2. The players you fight in bg's are more likely to be wearing raid gear which has incredible offensive bonuses instead of the more defensive ones you generally find on pvp gear.

2. I can understand some increased offensive capabilities, but even the SK/Paladins I regularly go the distance with on Nagafen beat me like I am naked in BGs. Defilers are great against crusaders in regular pvp because crusader dammage in pvp is medium-high with very little burst and no CC. Its a mana fight, but one that should be easily winnable, even against a totally geared crusader.

What's the total toughness on the gear that you're using?

And, does any of the gear have procs that would affect your survivability?   Perhaps you should use ACT to parse your fights on your home server ...and then on the BG server.   Providing a comparison would be helpful -- you might find that some things are not proccing the same or something similar.  Of, perhaps you've discovered a new issue.   Either way, ACT screenshots and/or log excperts is the best way to get attention I think.

Crusaders are spell-based, so until spell resists/mitigation are fixed, they'll be doing more damage than they are meant to as well.
