![]() So I rolled an Iquisitor with the sole purpose of leveling him faster and eventually betraying to a Templar. I'm not a dps type healer, I'd rather stand my ground and heal the best, then if I have a bit left over I can DPS. Eventual goal is to be a great group healer and raid healer, I completely hate soloing and am only doing it to get to the good stuff in the game. I'm wondering when is the best time to switch over to a Templar. Especially in relation to soloing, which is the main reason I went Inq first. I'm currently 67 with 130AA's so can max out most of the good melee/spell AA's. I'm wondering if I should wait a bit more, I was thinking maybe 80 when I get Repent and when I would be starting the epic quest. Thoughts? |

![]() Unless you have friends willing to grind you up to 90, solo your inq to 90 and betray then. |

![]() Meh, it's not that bad. Since the stat consolodation, Temps aren't as difficult to solo to 90. I leveled my Inq to 72 and then betrayed, and encountered almost no problems (other than the occasional guildie who wanted a chance to best their guild leader). Since then (about a week ago), I've mostly soloed my way through the questlines in Kunark and SF. I'm 85 now. I haven't had many problems at all and I'm honestly surprised at the DPS I can do, even as a Temp. Just my 2c

Its not that bad, but still slower and more annoying than playing an inquisitor.

![]() Well I betrayed at 70 and at first it was bad, but after I got to 72 and got a set of MC armor/weapons it was much better. I'm halfway thur 74 now and if the mob is blue or white it dies just a tad slower than on my inq, but if it's yellow or orange it's noticeably slower. One thing I notice greatly is power, the inq used to go thru power like no tomorrow, even with points into fanaticism, etc. The Templar can actually chain pull mobs for quite a long time before he starts to get low. The main thing that stinks though is resists. Seems my DD spells get resisted a ton, certainly more than my inq CA's got parried/blocked/missed. It seems pretty uneven IMO. |

I'll bet most people will have 5 points left in the Cleric line after going down the Str, Agi, and Int lines. You can put it into Holy Avenger if resists are bothering you that much. |

Yes I definitely plan on doing this. I'm about half thru 76 now and have 164 AA or so and am only just starting on the Kunzar timeline so am pretty sure I can hit 200 by the time I finish the ROK and TSO timelines/dungeons. Every level makes it that much easier, the soloing is going much faster now. I don't regret the betrayal at 70 at all as I wanted to make sure I was well practiced in what a Templar specifically does in a group setting. Have healed several dungeons now and feel very comfortable with him. I just can't wait to get to T8 gear because I'm having a hell of a hard time finding anything with crit on it, I'm only up to 30 or so, and forget about any potency/bonus/ or reuse. |
