The harvest box is a great resource, because you don't have to worry about exactly what materials to take to the crafting station.  As long as you keep your harvesters busy, the stores will always be ready and waiting, and automatically pulled from the box as you craft.

As a tinkerer, I use many different fuels from many different tiers when I am stocking back up on tinkered devices.

As a multi-boxer crafter, I use many different fuels from many different professions, and I can only move the Fuel Merchant to be near one station (without rearranging the guild hall).

I think it would be immensely helpful if FUELS could be stored in the crafting box, just like harvestables are.

That way, when tinkering, for example, I would just have to have a couple hundred of each coal in the box, and I would just need to run up and start crafting.

I don't even care about increasing the number of slots from 150 (although... maybe adding 50 "fuel slots" would be nice).

Just an idea to mull over.

To each their own I guess, I find with the room saved from depositing harvest I have more then enough room for all sorts of crafting fuels.

Where?  In your bags?  Are you saying that because you don't have to carry around harvests in your bags you have enough room in there for fuels?

That may be true, but my point is that allowing fuels to be stored and accessed from the harvest box would only make the crafting process that much easier.

There's really no downside.

I really don't see a reason to do this. I'd rather have the harvest boxes hold all raws and no fuel, just like they are now. You can have guild fuel merchants in your guild hall, so why do you need to store fuel in a harvest box?

If your guild is anything like mine, it's not that much of a hassle to buy fuel. The guild fuel merchant is right in the TS area so it's not like I have to run all over the place to buy what I need.

I tinker too and when I make things, I buy a stack of all the fuels I will possibly need from the fuel merchant. It's not that big of a deal to have different kinds of fuel in my bags.

Besides, you can sell the unused fuels back so it's not like you're losing money if you buy a variety.

Use your personal house vault to store your fuels. You can open it from the guild hall door and have the vault available for all crafting stations. Yes, you have to move fuels out of it when you need them, but it's pretty simple.

also, think of it this way, someone has to buy those fuels, so he puts it in the box, and others use them? i know thats what happens with the harvests, but you dont buy those (unless you buy rares, and then you do that cause YOU need them)

harvests only loose time, if you put fuel in boxes you loose money if others use them all. just my 2 c.

/agree with Sigrdrifa... Use your door vault. My first box in the door is all my fuels. I move my harvesting bag to another bag (its been emptied into the harvest box) and put the fuel box into my inventory. Problem solved.. Just stock it with things you would normally use. My second box is the extra fuels, erollisi candy, chewing gum, etc. I wouldnt mind putting fuel into the harvesting box. But for myself, I tend to craft for ppl in other places than my Hall. So its very handy to just open the door from anyones house or hall and have instant access to all my rares and fuels.

My guild hall has a fuel vendor in the crafting area.  I don't bother storing fuels at all.  I just buy 200 of whatever I need at the start and sell the remainder back to him after.  It's as good as storage.

BTW, if fuels were allowed in harvesting box, people might eventually want the boxes expanded to allow all the possible fuels.

Try to talk your guild into rearranging your tradeskill area to have the tables form a circle. Then place the fuel merchant and the writ givers in the middle. This way you can access the fuel merchant from every table.

Personally if people were moving around the fuel merchant when they wanted to craft something, it would upset me. People tend to get lazy and after a while they would forget to move the merchant back and other people might get the idea its ok to hide the merchant or something equally silly.

Yes, there are many ways to handle use of fuel, I understand that.

So, I'm just going to close by saying, even though there are other ways to handle your fuel, allowing fuels to be placed in the harvesting box doesn't hurt anyone.  It would be a great convenience to my guild, where we would fill the extra box slots with the most common fuel and encourage use by guild crafters.

If you don't like an idea of conveniece (for whatever reason you listed), it doesn't mean it shouldn't be enacted for others who would like to see the change.

Opposition to ideas that would have absolutely zero negative effect on the person commenting on them baffles me.

Oh well.
