Just wanted to know what would be the best tradeskill to take up in terms of earning money.

![]() This is a very subjective question. All crafts have the opportunity to make money - it depends on your finding the niche in the broker market to fill. I would suggest doing something that you enjoy doing that benefits your character and finding the nice to fill rather than trying to take up a craft because someone tells you it is a cash cow. |

If you mean making more money than adventuring, then none of them. The days when toons got rich crafting are long past. Do it only if you enjoy it because it probably won't get you any coin to speak of compared to killin' and lootin' (as far as time and energy invested are concerned.) You'll make much more money mowing down as many trash mobs as you can as fast as you can, then selling the junk you get to an NPC vendor. It's all just for the "fun value" of seeing your name on a product, cooking your own food, making stuff for your friends, being the guy on raids with the patch kits or mender bot and so forth... or even just the vicarious thrill of pounding metal at a forge. If you don't care about that stuff, sell your loot and buy what you want from someone who does get joy out of it. Your support will be greatly appreciated.

![]() Crafted items markets are competitive. No matter which you might choose, this will always be the case. It is not so much what you choose to craft and sell, as how much time and effort you put into it, as well as how aggressive and/or competitive you choose to be which will factor into your success at making money. Add in how well you do at keeping an eye on the market, trends in saleability, pricing fluctuations, game changes, all are factors which can improve success or lack of. A gold nugget of advise is, don't put all your eggs into one basket. You will make more money by diversifying what you put up for sale, be it finding a current niche market, including harvest raws in your sales basket, collectibles, etc. |

Those who produce consumables tend to do better then many of the other crafters.I think it might be interesting for each trandskill to have an interesting consumable. Carpenter: Improve the repair kits so they can repair more/perhaps a portable campsite for recharging when away from food and drink restockJeweler: One shot items that provide effects. AoE resistances(commons 1 use and maybe 30 seconds)/Regens(Mastercrafteds)?I'll let people come up with other ideas.

That's odd, people in other threads say that crafters make way more money than adventurers. I'd vote for consumables as well. |
