I'm trying to transfer a toon from one account to a different server and different account. I get through the "ordering" process just fine, and I get the email that says "EQ2 Character Move: Your order has been received". I wait a little while, and each time I've tried (around 5 times tonight), I receive a second email that says "EQ2 Character Move: There was a problem with your order". Inside of this "problem with your order" email, it references a fairly obtuse "Service Violation (please review) or Generic Fail (may work later)". However, I'm not sure how long "later" is, or if this is indeed a Service Violation (ie: it won't work no matter how many times I try) or if it's just servers being wonky (in which case I'd expect it to work at a later time.)I've replied to the "problem with your order" email, but haven't received a response yet, so I thought I'd try the forum. Anybody know what's up? (I haven't given my account names in this posting for security reasons - I can say that I am Order Tracking Numbers 278786, 278788, 278799, 278805, and 278829, all for the same character and the same accounts.)Thanks!

Just in case others have this issue in the future, it seems that emptying my broker slots assisted in my move. Once they were empty, I tried again and it worked very, very quickly.(Head nod to tweinie for this solution, in this thread)

It should state all that as well on the transfer form. Although I know many people do skip reading this as well as the stickies I have above
![]() * Check out available in English only. * U.S. currency is the available payment methods. * If your server is not listed, please check again in 24 hours. * Shared bank slots will not be transferred with your character. All contents of your shared bank slots, including items, armor or containers, must be removed or re-located to another character prior to the time that your character transfer occurs or they will be permanently deleted. Deleted contents will not be reimbursed or replaced. * Items belonging to a Trustee of your character's housing will not be transferred with your character. Any Trustees of your character's housing should be informed that they will need to collect all items from your character's housing prior to the time that your character transfer occurs. Once the character transfer has begun the items will no longer be retrievable and will not be reimbursed or replaced.

I agree wholeheartedly that it should state it on the transfer form, but to my knowledge, it doesn't. I did indeed read the form - in depth, before I attempted the first transfer. It does reference shared bank slots that will not be transferred, and that's as I expected. It does not reference the broker, however, unless it's just somewhere I didn't look.I also didn't realize there'd be a separate CC authorization for each failed attempt - I guess I was too excited

(And as an addendum, I'm not being arguementative - in fact, I'm about to transfer a 2nd toon in the next day or two because once I figured out what was holding the transfer back, it went *very* smoothly - two minutes between receiving the transfer request and completing it!)(additionally, I was definitely guilty of not reading the stickies in THIS forum, where it is indeed spelled out that you should clear your broker slots prior to attempting a transfer - now I know, hehe)
