Hullo Y'All, I'd like to host a Meet and Greet just before the Open Raid by Magor in 2 weeks. That would be on Saturday, April 26 at 5pm EDT at Nek Dock. I hope the last Saturday of each Month in the afternoon is working as a good time? If you want to help, let me know. The main purpose is to see toons face to face. Please bring your higher level main, then you can be in place for Magar's Open Raid after. The chat channel is /join ORaid and details usually at www.eq2test.com.The most popular thing at the Meet and Greet last month was the guide NPC quest givers that Domino setup around the dock! Maybe we can coax her to this next Meet and Greet with some Jum Jum treats like pies and cookies? Also, I think there are some guildes on the Test server now. Thryth did a few Orc Guide quests with Hekek last month. Then, Offa did a hide-and-seek event on 4/22/08 with Hekek who was making Cobalt armor. (I was a bit depressed from working my day job and extra hours multitasking it with EQ2 in the evening and didn't accept the free armor. *bonks head*)Other popular welcome items have been things you can't easily trade on the broker, like lore or quest starters. There are some keys and broken weapons that are tradeable and start quests. Other items are charms from the advanced tradeskill quests given by the mastercrafters at the main city guild halls. Boxes and bags are always welcome at M&G also. See you there! Offa, Level 80 Provisioner (dressed like a farmer as mostly crafting and harvesting) (level 42 guardian barbarian with player-run tavern in Nettleville)

I'd like to interject that Hekek isn't a guide.  I decided yesterday that it would be fun to make a set of cobalt armor for the purpose of 1) XP ( I hit level 60 armorer from it, yay!) and 2)  to give away.  I just thought that it would be more fun to auction it off in a fun way, and a game of hide-and-seek seemed fairly free-spirited and enjoyable.I've got some other things planned for a bit of fun, and help out those who aren't able to come by some gear as easily as someone who has all of their mains on Test.  In fact, a certain Warden/Tailor might be giving people a simple task for a reward that any class can use this evening (around 6 p.m. central)But all of this is done with raws/rares/fuels that I've acquired while playing.  I just like to see others more able to have fun, and maybe someday down the line they can do it for someone else.  Like Pay it Forward, just without Bruce Willis
