I've been noticing that on numerous occasions, and in a variety of places, the skirts of Norraths ladies seem to be blown up above their ears. I'm wondering if this is happening to just me, or if it's something that's happening to any one esle. It happens mostly to NPCs btw. It's not consistent, some days it doesn't happen at all, and it won't be all the skirts in the immediate area, and it's never happened before, just the last few weeks.

Cusa, this isn't a problem with having cloth simulation off, it's a problem with cloth simulation in itself in relation to mounts.Next time you see this? See if there is a horse in viewing vicinity.  If there is? Try to make it so you can see the skirt in question without the horse being rendered.  I will bet you it will flop back down.

this happens to me all the time - mounts in the area or not. And for me its not just female characters, its mages as well. And it seems to be distance related. If far away, its fine, up close its fine. But find that certain distance and up they go. One of the most persistent and annoying gfz bugs imo.  Note - cloth simulation seems to have no impact on this for me.

It's the point between the cloth simulation becoming active and unactive (much the same way of how when you are far away, objects can be rendered in lower resolutions while up close to an object, the higher resolution effects kick in).  Sometimes it gets stuck at the cloth simulation reset point.  If you move your view closer or further away, it corrects itself....At least, that has been my experience.

I knew that mounts affected the simualtion of the skirt I was wearing but didn't realize that any mount in the vacinity would cause that affect on on-mounted characters. It explains a lot as most of my toons have recently purchased mounts SMILEY Thanks all SMILEY Still, it quite funny to see, I keep looking for vent shafts to DownBelow whenever I see it /giggle.
