got a post going over at http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=401074

don't see a T8 upgrade anywhere for it, but I've been known to be a little foggy sometimes....

percentage based spells do not get upgraded, so no upgrade for this spell.

actually this works out in our favor.  Because it's percentage based, it upgrades automatically as the mob level increases.  AND the fact we do not have to upgrade it means we do not have the spend the money on buying the spell.  The best thing about this,  this spell was one of our T7 master 2 choices.  if you take it, then take another T8 master choice, you have 2 master II spells in T8.

Tendrils of Horror has a 9% chance of decreasing dps by X and attack speed by Y.

Tendrils IS an upgradable spell because it itself is an upgrade of Level 49 Tendrils of Terror, which has the same 9% but lower dps and haste debuffs.   Tendrils of Terror is an upgrade to level 35 Tendrils of Fear, with still lower debuffs (but the same 9% chance)

So I'm confused why everyone thinks it is appropriate that it not be upgraded in T8.  Continuing the pattern, it could, like its predecessors, increase the dps and haste debuff amounts.

Don't worry about it.  Every class in the game has at least one spell from t6 or t7 that didn't get upgraded in t8 for whatever reason.  My Berserker has a level 60 spell like that.  We are very lucky that ours is a Master2 option.

The developers decided that this random spell should not get upgraded in T8 -- I can accept that.

The developers somehow missed this one, and SHOULD have upgraded it -- I can accept that too (but they should fix it.)

The developers think that "this is a %-based spell and as such does not need upgrading" - that is patently absurd and they should upgrade the spell -- leave the % alone of course, but boost the DPS and haste debuffs a bit.

Of course I'm debating for debating's sake a bit here... the upgrading of this spell is not a big issue at all.  Just trying to delve into the minds of the developers SMILEY<img src=
