Nvidia Geforce 6800 series stuttering fixed?

Coming back to eq2 after about a year away playing WOW, a little too easy, lol. Has there been any fixes to the stuttering problems with the geforce 6XXX series video cards? This was a big reason i left the first time and hoped it has been fixed by now!? Any way, running p4 3.06 ht cpu, 2 gb kingston hyper ram, evga 6800 gs co with the 163.71 drivers (tweaksrus.com version). Havent logged in yet, downloading. Any answers or maybe newer links really needed, thanks.

pretty sure yes. several fixes were done on the driver end and some in game too a while back. my 2nd comp runs on a 6800 no problems. i never had the extreme stutter some did, but there used to be some problems where now there are none.

Ok i guess there's only 1 way to find out, thats logging in and playing, thanks for the response.
