Today's Maintenance

So...today's maintenance shouldn't have anything to do with the ability to play right? Cause I've been trying to log on to EQ2 since about 10:00AM EST (7AM PDT), and have been getting the same message that we normally get when servers are locked...but there was no mention of maintenance for the player servers mentioned anywhere.

What is going on?

In game the servers were spamming down time 7pm pacific for the last few hours. If I recall correctly the message stated a short down time. I can already log back in to the character selection, just not into world servers yet.

They should've posted something in the forums about it then...since, you know - EQ2Players and thus Network Status is down until 1PM EST. Would be nice if they told people that weren't online for some reason what was going on.

Also, this does nothing for the already horrendous ingame customer support we already have.We waited almost 3 hours for a GM the other night when Archfied Izzoroth wouldn't spawn... but no one came...I have NEVER been helped successfully by a GM for mob spawn issues. NEVER. They always take too long and I'm going to bed after 3 hours of WAITING.

Meh.. was down no more than 30 mins and I'm already back in game. I don't see the problem with a 45 minute break from the game every once in a while. I just accept it as a given that servers will go down at 7am Pacific time every weekday. Then I am never surprised or disappointed. Besides, it's good to let the server do maintenance on a regular basis.

Yeah, me too. I've almost given up typing entirely, choosing to roll my face back and forth on the keyboard instead. I get less typos that way.

Well, I chose G. But I no longer go to school, and :

a) I do not have a wife, family or girlfriend(which is sad I know)

b)my pet is a goldfish....I could try walking it though

c)my favorite offline hobby is only available at night(unless you can look at stars in daylight, I know I cant)

d)Eh, I never learned to read or write..oh wait...I have read all the books I would like to for now.

e)If I wsa at work, I wouldnt be playing EQ2 to begin with(I am posting this from work though)

f)but I like G

g) Usually when EQ2 goes down I sit down, have a beer and watch sportscenter, but that was not in your list.

My parents stoppd caring what I did about 10 years ago. If I was to call them I woud get all sorts of stupid questions, like"what do you want?" etc. And I feel great about myself, infact with the exception of getting fat because of all the fast food I have been eating lately I have never felt better, thank you very much. (ok, so I am semi joking with my responses)

I choose (G) since we've been down since yesterday afternoon waiting for the dang cable service to replace the local junction box for hte area. GRRRRR.

And of course we all know to check EQIIPlayers for official annoucements NOT.

I believe the proper place for EQII announcements would be the Official News and Announcements forum. I would be help full if ALL offical annoucements could be posted there. If you want credit for posting announcements they have to be where we are expecting to find them. In the future if your not going to use the Official News and Announcements to post offical accouncements can you please add a post there to redirect us to where we should be looking.
