To dual box with one computer you will need a very high end system. Minimum of having 2 cpu's and 2 separate gpu's and two monitors would help. It would be cheaper just to buy two mid range computers. The eq2 client won't even run on low end systems.

Depending on how much risk you are wanting to take, and the manner in which you two box, you can do fine on a medium range computer. I "two-boxed" on my 2.4 GHz P4 with a 512 MB 9600XT and 2 gigs of Ram just fine. There was a very slight delay when swithcing between windows, but nothing so bad that it got in the way of me doing the things I wanted to do. Of course I wasn't trying to duo white heroics or anything. I stuck mostly to blues and greens. Dealing with spike damage and/or adds can be tricky if you have don't have a really fast machine and need to be able to toggle back and forth quickly. Edited to add: Of course I had most all the bells and whistles turned down. I think I ran one slot up from extreme performace, whatever that is. If you want to be able to still see the beauty of the game you will need a high end system as Novusod wrote. If you are just going to two box some of the time, and can stand losing the graphics quality during that time, then you don't need a high end machine. If you are going to two box all the time you would miss out on a lot though.

I run two EQ2s on same comp one monitor. One video card GeForce 7950GT KO, one AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core processor 3800 and 4 gigs of ram( though since its xp only 3.25). The EQ2 window that has the main character I will be playing I have on high performance and the secondary window on extreme performance. No lag or heat problems. I could run them both higher I just choose not to so I can have firefox with multiple tabs running and any other programs I want to run without them being slow. My duo is an SK/Templar. I put the templar on auto follow. I dont use any macros. Its fairly easy already. I just switch back and forth from window to window healing and casting a damage spell every now and then from my templar. I mainly stay on the sk.

![]() *points up* you dont need all that crap to dual account on one computer. a decent processor, a good vid card (no need for duals) and 2gigs ram. the dual monitors, however, help a lot. lol
