Spec Stamina/Agi in the KoS tree, and spec Hastenings/Explosives in the Warlock tree.  Always carry Freedom of Mind potions(use the level 30 ones, they work no different then their t7 counterparts, and typically cost 50s or less) and Freedom of Action(see not on FoM) potions.  Make a macro for crouch/walk mode, use it when feared and only use Freedom of Action if you are going to get feared off a ledge or into aggro mobs. Roll with a warden, and a guardian if you can find one, you will live much longer that way.  In group on group fights, only use your AEs unless you have a smart Main Assist in the group, constantly spamming every AE and use your 2 dehates because they interrupt and cause target loss for all targets. Work on defensive gear, pvp fights don't last long and proc gear is really unnecessary from a dps standpoint.  Get the Cazik-Thule deity cloak, the fear proc goes off a lot.  Gear: Get the pvp gear, spend your evenings farming botters and the tokens rack up fast.  Buy the pieces you need to upgrade the most first, but i would start with gloves/boots/cuffs since they have good effects on them and are the cheapest cost.  Get Enspelled Vultak Eyes(sp) because their ward is really sweet.  Claymore rewards are good, but EoF collection jewelery is nearly unbeatable for the non-raiding warlock(and on pvp, raiding is a drag, so long as you aren't on Vox). That should be more than enough to get you started.  In a 1v1, never cast Manashield until after Nullmail triggers, unless you are fighting an assassin and he gets you below 50 before he uses Decap, otherwise you wont get a chance to cast it.  Heal proc items are uber in pvp(Wand of Second Life, etc) as well as any ward proc you can find(robe from nest).  Other than that, learn your enemies and the intricacies of their classes.  The key to victory in pvp is to know more than your enemy.  Know his spells, know when he uses them, and always be prepared to counter them, and when you fight a healer don't use Focussed Casting until he feels confident enough to let you get his health to 50%, otherwise he will just heal thru it.  Also, use every pvp item at your disposal(read: Pumice Stones) and carry around Escape Root(KoS Carnivorous Plant house item), they work in combat for an easy get away.

One more thing, regarding group on group pvp. Any good healer will cure Apocalypse as soon as its up.  Open your group fights with a couple AE Nox spells(Phantom Pillaging, Curse of Isolation) and force them to burn that AE Nox Cure on a relatively useless spell, then get Apoc out there.  The cast timer is too long, and the damage too crucial, to risk having it cured instantly in a fight.

Yes, I would say warlocks are very good in a PvP group.  For me personally, if I were going to design a 6-man PvP team I'd definitely include a warlock.   If you have an SK running with you, even better as the debuffs / damage compliment.

One of the main reasons is that they have arguably the best encounter / AE damage in the game.  Therefore even when an opposing tank does an outstanding job of locking the warlock's target to him, he can still deal out considerable damage to the opposing group and make the healer sweat pretty hard.   Warlocks also have a good group power siphon that is lovely for longer encounters.

There is a warlock on nagafen who wiped a x3 with one other person. Granted they got the jump and the warlock is in some of the best gear in the game. Nuff said tbh~

Warlocks also get a nice single target (Thwart) and a group target stun/interrrupt (Nebula) and the quick casting AE Chaostorm which interrupts and does some very fast damage which will prompt a cure from priests.

Apocalypse is nice but very slow in comparison to most casts and it will only hit 5 out of 6 (unless its different on PVP) leaving someone without the dot.

Additionally another good spell to use is Aura of Nihility on a healer or caster  (a low HP person is best) as unless removed any spell landing on the group (ae or encounter) will do additional damage to them (at level 70 its 700-1000 dmg up to 3 times and will react to anyone in your group casting a spell on that person (AE or direct).  It casts quickly and is a good one to land just before using chaostorm (your first hit will be 1k min to the person its on as well as the damage to the entire group).

Although you usually wouldnt have time, RIFT is nice due to it hitting everyone in the group as well as stunning/interrupting them and doing knockback.  Chances are you wont have time to cast this though.

Im not gonna lie, Wizards are better for solo pvp, but if you group then warlocks positively melt face. The only thing that sucks is that a lot of a warlocks damage is fine in pve, but can be neutralized by someone curing in pvp. And manashield rocks, but my pumice stone rocks harder=P

I trying to figure out if Warlocks do more or less damage now in PvP.  I know that the big hitting nukes got nerfed (wizzie) and that resists got "fixed" but I don't know what that translates into for the PvP Warlock.

I hear from warlocks that the only ones that kill them frequently are wizzies?  I would think in PVP the ability to burn down healers before they get started would outweigh hurting a whole group that can be healed/cured.

Are Warlocks getting more or less resists in PvP than wizzies and have DOTs became the way to go due to the "big nuke" nerfs?

Focused casting looks like a clear advantage over a wizzie, but I may be wrong.  However, evac, damage shields, and buffing str and int may outweigh it.

Confused.

In group on group pvp the group with the warlock will usually win. Assuming the tank taunts occasionally.

We are the first target in pvp almost always so get the group buffs to support getting beat on non stop. Null carress is your best friend as are your detaunts. I come on strong with big damage to see if we can spike anyone down then I hunker down and put the procs and mana tap up. Usually we spike someone down and the fight goes in our favor early. Very few fights require me to go into hunker down mode.
