*** Lyceum of Abhorrence ***- The Lyceum was once a quiet retreat for followers of Harla Dar to study and enhance their abilities, but the amygdalan have now taken the island and remade the Lyceum into a ghastly shadow of its former glory. Those droag not killed were turned into horrible creations, persisting even past death to learn from their new masters.- Welcome to the Lyceum of Abhorrence, a new raid zone available in the Kingdom of Sky.- Brave adventurers fluent in Draconic should seek out Zhaviz Ne'pasda in Tenebrous Tangle for more information on this zone.

It's instanced, and no access quest required... but you might want to speak with Zhaviz. :smileywink:

It involves TT so its a t7 raid zone.  Now the question is... a 65ish easy raid or a 78ish pain in the ars raid.

T7 means 60 - whatever.  That's my question, is this gonna be a blue raid zone to a level 70?

I'll give you three guesses and one clue:A high prime and null may find only death at the hands of the defilers of Harla Dar's Lyceum.

Illucide is a riddle, wrapped in an enigma, veiled in a red developer tag.

A high prime and null... So its going to be tough at 70, good.  Would you say PPR tough? harder? a bit easier?

Why don't ya raid it and find out. Devs aren't exactly the best difficulty testers in the world, other than knowing how high of level the mobs are.

Any chance of a X2 instanced zone or is raiding strictly for those guilds who can get 24 people at lvl 70 on for hours on end multiple times a week?X2 instances would be so good at giving smaller more family guilds a chance to raid, and also act as a learning experience for developing raid guilds.

How many expansions till people can attack this mob?  Considering a High Prime is 256,203,221 (not the highest, but dang high) and Null would be 0....  So at level 2,562,032,210 people can expect to raid...  Ouch.  Maybe this is a tad early?  I am guessing April Fools...

Don't be so literal.  He was referring to 7 as the prime number, so it would be aimed at level 70 raiders.

I guess I should have added a smiley, I thought the April Fools line would be enough to let people know it was a joke...

Illucide, why does dev do not instance Ascent of the Awakened and Temple of Scale? Any valid reason about this?

Because not everything shoudl be instanced, if it was it wouldnt be a mmo, it would be a networked game you play with your friends back home.

We dont need these zone instanced, but we need instanced or forced pop like barakah version of the 3 contested named on each zone. Make them no loot (or much less quality than the contested one) and just like barakah with a rare drop on septimus if you want, but give the "non hardcore top raider" a chance to go to deathtoll one day before the next expansion.

7 is not a high prime.  It's a low prime, being the fourth prime number.Let's see...  61 is a prime and 67 is a prime.  And both would be within the level range of the expansion.  Given two choices, 'high prime' begins to make more sense in this context.  67 would be the high prime.  Add null (0) and you get that 67's will get owned there.So... Probably 70+Same answer, but derived from better logic.  :smileyhappy:

If these were instanced, then the loot tables would have to be dumbed down. In non-instanced zones, you are not just competeting with the mobs.. but with other players trying to kill the same contesteds, as well as respawn timers. This makes it much more of a challenge than an instanced zone and therefore increases the loot tables.

I think more x2's woudl be great as well. I have seen a lot of guilds trying to raid, but they just didn't have the numbers or the gear to get started. x2 zones would help them build their core raiding force and basically 'practice' for the bigger stuff. It also gives them a little something to offer their recruits. Right now we have great 1 group content and great x4 content... but we seem to be missing the middle ground for emerging guilds.
