- All races will be removed except for Iksar.  The development team has recognized that they are the one true race, and therefore will make this change in deference to their greatness and beauty.

After numerous complaints from the gaming community it is recognized that tall races have an unfair advantage over shorter races when harvesting and hunting as they can see over hills and obstacles sooner than shorter races. Therefore for the sake of balance:1) the height of ratonga and froglok will be increased slightly2) the height of gnomes and hafling will be increased significantly3) the height of barbarians, ogres and trolls will be decreased slightllyIt is realized that this will take away from character uniqueness to some extent. To deal with this, all races will be color-coded.

Iksar come in Green, Purple, and Yellow, as well as stripes, spots, and plain.  So this shouldn't be an issue when you all become Iksar.

Bend to the will!

Oh , were you not informed? It was also decided that the tail-holes required in armor and robes for the iksar and Kerran races are making the crafting system far to complicated. These races are being removed.

What tail holes?  We have to punch through the armor for our tails to fit.  No tail holes pre-exist.

yes, for now, but with eof the new additions to armor will bring tail holes for the tailed races so the crafters can make money again, also for balancing reasons gnomes will be removed from the game, because they simply dont stand a chance if i put them on the grill. oh, and they will finally fix the cloud bug, oooppsss..... this thread is about gu 28 no 48, so nvm about cloudbug fix

WHAT!! Why remove Gnomes.  They were going to be the only class that could chose Plaid for the color coding.

-After debating some time about what the new conjurer hat will look like we have decided on a final look.  We are sorry to anounce that the relic armor will also be changing its apearance to match the new look of the conjurer armor.

*** The Hand of the Gods *** - The influence of the gods continues to grow stronger on Norrath as the prophets of the Sun and Honor call upon the faithful for assistance. - Prove your loyalty to the followers of Honor by speaking with Rakkan Stranger in Thundering Steppes, near the Thundermist Village. - Show your love to the Sun by contacting Firy Bugenhauven in Thundering Steppes, in some bridge on the Dead River. *** New Guild Level 50 mounts! *** - A new shark mount has arrived to the citizens of Freeport! Since sharks found their breath outside the water since the game's launch, now the Overlord did a massive recruitment of Everfrost's sharks to serve its citizens! - A new gnome mount has arrived to the citizens of the Kingdom of Qeynos! Now its citizens are able to buy gnomes and use them as mounts. Ride with them around Norrath. *** Profession hats - ALL FIXED *** - The Hand of Gods is here and they want to punish our lives. Every class found in the game now have a new and exciting profession hat: The Clown's Cap. The old ones are absolutely removed from the game...

Development has made the determination that finally everything in the game is Working as Intended.

They will no longer release game updates since Everquest 2 is now perfect.

This just in,

The new shark mounts will have Laser Beams strapped to their heads.

Due to a misallocation of funds, the overlord's minions were unable to afford the sharks required to support the shark mount program.  They have been replaced with ill-tempered bass.Due to an oversight on the queen's budget, gnome mounts have been stripped of thier dignity to reduce upkeep costs.

If this is true, then Dwarves are just Barbarians with their shins removed.

*** GAME UPDATE #28b **** *** More mounts are coming! **** - After announcing the new mounts, the inhabitants of Haven have said they want their new mount too! Their call have been answered! - Now the Haven's citizens are able to buy a new mount called "Gotowned" that costs only 300p and 800,000SP. Actually you don't get nothing, but you'll can say in channels "I got owned having Gotowned, I bought it and now I'm the poorest man in Norrath, thank you guys!". - With the "Gotowned" mount, you get a new exclusive title too. For example, if your name is "Vinerea", your full name will be "Vinerea, The Self-Owned".

- In response to player complaints that Wizards and Warlocks generate too much hate, the damage generated by their spells has been substantially reduced.  This in turn lowers the hate generated.- In order to promote the use of player-made arrows, the cost of arrows from NPC merchants has been doubled.- In response to requests for a quicker method to travel to the Overrealm than the transportation spires, dragon mounts are available in Lavastorm and Everfrost.  Players should be warned that training the dragons to accept riders is progressing slowly, so the there is some risk in using these new mounts.  Those that survive to reach the Overrealm will be deposited on a random island in a random zone.  Usually from a great height.- New provisioner recipes have been added to all appropriate tiers that use imbuing rares.  The recipes were unearthed from a Gnoming community that mysteriously vanished overnight.  Enjoy!
