Hi there, I am currently only level 43 but starting to get a few AA's. At the moment I mostly duo or trio and occasionally full group. I will raid a bit with my guild once I get to 55. I never tank unless I am solo and I only really solo if I'm just finishing up some old quest or something easy so thats not a problem. Currently I have started to go down the strength line and the intention was to go STR/INT going all the way down both lines but I'm not so sure now. I feel like I dont really have a thorough understanding to make a proper decision. I like dual weild simply because it's what I am used to from EQ1 (rogue) and I just like it so I'd like to stick with that. What I am looking for is being able to dish out the most dps. I see people talking about the benefits of the wisdom line but am I missing something there? You're not allowed anything in the secondary slot so you have to be weilding a one hander and you cant even have a shield - isn't that a bit of a disadvantage? If someone could give me some advice as to which lines to go down, and why, I'd be most grateful. Many thanks, Sheylin

One handed weapons do 75% of the damage a pair of dual wield weapons do. Our double attack skill increases one handed damage per second by up to 76%. When maxed you can do up to 32% more damage than dual wielding minus the marginal damage bonus of which ever line you picked up instead of Wisdom line. Now some may argue that when they add the damage ratings of their dual wield weapons the ratio compared to a one hander is greater than 75%. The reason for this is that dual wield weapons actualy hit less often. Each dual wield weapon has an attack value that is half that of a one hander. As a result, it is easier to avoid a dual wield weapon. To compensate, the devs boosted the damage of dual wield weapons so that they are more in line with the damage of two handed weapons. Thus the damage rating of dual wield weapons can not be compared directly with one handed weapons anymore. In other words, if you compared a damage rating of a two handed weapon versus the sum of two dual wield weapons you would also notice a disparity however they are meant to deal the same amount of damage. People may also say but what about stamina line. Well, stamina line gives up to 56% booste in dps. This is less than the 76% boost in double attack so you will do less dps over all going with stamina line. So if you are purly interested in maxing dps, Wis line is better than Sta. If you are worried about avoidance, don't forget that you will get atleast 4% parry in all directions when maxing wisdom line. This is equivalent to half a standard roundshield of the appropriate level. If you want the most dps possible go with Str 4-4-4-8 + Wis 4-4-4-8 as a minimum.

![]() IMO Int line is by far the least useful line in out AP. As a swashy, you shouldn't be stealing agro in group situation... And sta line is only good if you like to tank or soloing most of the times. I can say that I've soloed some t7 zones as a wis line and I didn't have any problem. If you really want to Duel wield, I say str/agi. With last skill in agi line, you should be using DI/inspiration more often and that should give you good dps increase.

So, if I understand correctly, a one handed weapon along with the double attack boots from the wisdom line will give more overall DPS than duel weild weapons combined with any other line? So, that would mean that the boost comes from auto-attack damage? At my level now, I find that most fights are short and I do a lot of my damage from CA's and I try to get them to master or at least ad3. Is this likely to change as I get higher in level? If I was to switch from DW to a one hander, would I see the benefit now or should this be a change I would make at higher level? Also, you say that the damage rating cannot be compared directly, how would I compare them? For instance, my weapons now are both a damage rating of 23 point something so around 56 in total. If I was looking for a one hander, what damage rating would I need to match that? And does the loss in stats from that second weapon make much difference? Thanks again,Sheylin

![]() Let me put it this way, I was in group with another swashy, who was str/int vs me str/wis. I did't have poison on vs he was using poison and in average I was doing about 100 more dps then he was. Also he was using up more power vs me who was using nearly no power since I was watching tv. ![]() Granted that I was bit better geared then he was and I'm sure I had bit more AP then he did but yes wis/str line does more damage then other line, unless you go str/agi in raid fights.

How does the AGL/WIS pair hold up? What about maxing a single line like Agility?
