This says it requires a symbol to be equipped in the offhand, but has anyone tried it with the symbol in the ranged slot to see if it works?

I have a follow-up to this question, as I am going down the ritual line to maximise my healing potential (although it gives me rather weaker stats)

Does Ritual take a lot of managing?

Could someone post the recast times, the cast time, the power usage etc.

Also, how does it work with wards?

I dont have it anymore, but its insta cast, no power cost, 60 sec timer and doesnt work with wards. not 100% tho, 99% maybe.

I got rid of it myself it seemed like a weak AA for a full time raiding defiler.

this is not a bad choice for an AA if you tie into your big heal what i mean is put it in a macro where you ativated when you use your big heal I'm a raiding defiler and it works just find and it's not like you if you need to conserve your AA's you'll have plenty of them but I would not put more than 1 AA into it unless you are going down that line

What is it at rank 8?

Is it like 100% or something?

I imagine that that for a raid would be insanely good.

I assume you can create a simple

/usea ritual

/usea sacrificial aid (or w/e its called for your level)

or

/usea ritual

/usea accretion

37.5% at Rank 8With Master 2 heal you can hit 2770 or so before critting.

This was the first AA I aimed for as a Mystic (which have slightly smaller heals than Defiler, if Im correct). I felt I wanted this in order to even get close to the numbers Templars put up. As Sokolov mentioned, with 8 pts, your heals are bumped up in the 30+%ile range. I had this and the heal crit maxed out, and hitting 1600+ with my small heals and 2900+ with my big (@ Master II) occasionally. You can tie this in with a macro, so there is no need to hit two buttons to cast Ritual plus the heal. The only disadvantage of Ritual is the 1 minute recast, but over the course of using it, you will know instinctually when its up and ready to use. I did respect my AAs last night since Im experimenting with another line, but do plan on putting some pts into Ritual once again. Good luck !
