All I want is a macro that will cast a spell at the same time as notifying group/raid members that a certain healer is casting a heal..., its useless to have a chat macro without tiggering the spell at the same time..., how many hotbars to you think we can manage at once

Line 1: /r Casting Uber Heal on %T
Line 2: /useability Bloom

That what you mean?

yes all you need is to use the /useability command.

/usea

if you want to add multiple commands into a single macro line then you'll need to start the line with a null emote (colon space semicolon space) like this:

: ; /g Healing %t ; usea Bloom

Just my opinion mate...but your idea to send a group or raid tell everytime you heal will most likely result in enough spam to make people annoyed.  Although its nice to know who's healing, and to have other people know....it would just end up like watching the combat text during a raid (way too much text to read).  I know I would never allow someone in my guild to do this.

In some cases it is nice to have the option..  especially in pickup groups.. it helps to train them to work with your healing techniques if they know what to expect... then as they get used to it you can stop.

On your raids.. create a healer channel in a seperate window.Have all your healers join it and create macros like this Start a heal wheel. Very effective for keeping that MT alive.

You know what a heal wheel is dont you ?

Yes, a heal wheel is eq2 basics, its in the tutorial on the boatride isn't it....healing 101? I'd have to be a super nub not to know what a heal wheel is......er, wait...I have no friggen idea.

I'm guessing that its a circular chain of heals so that someone is always casting and you don't quadruple up (or more) on casting big healz to no effect.  I really haven't found a need for this yet actually, I have my guild on ventrillo so we talk to eachother and have healing assignments pretty much down to a science.  Even if we didn't talk to eachother while we play, most of the content in the high end game is so mindless that it would take a degree of "super nub" to not be able to heal for it.

this is how ive been trying:
Line1: /target Tank
Line2: : ; usea Quick Heal ; usea Regen heal

It targets the tank then casts quick heal and is done. Is this possible?

To the poster above.

Been a while since i played a priest class but I would guess it's how you spelled the Quick heal and Regen heal, are those the EXACT wording/spelling of the heals you are using?

Ie., insert the exact wording of the spell itself, not sure if upper/lower case makes a difference ie.,  /useability Bloom OR /useability bloom

Hope that helps, if any others see this is wrong, please correct me

THANK YOU

First off...I played a Cleric for a long time in EQ1. The healing in this game is nothing compared to that of EQ1, and a healing wheel, or heal rotation as we called it, is simply not needed. What doesn't stack is Druid HoTs and Cleric single target reactives.

So, at the start of a raid, you pick on of each of those classes (best idea is those out of the MT group), and charge them with keeping a single target reactive and single target HoT on the MT at all times, as for wards, let them overstack occasionally. As raiding is now and the extra damage the MT is receiving, a Ward surely wont stay there long.

I agree about the healer channel also, every raid should have one.

As for Macros, the only time I use a /raidchat macro is for rezzes, cuz nothing irritates me more than getting 9 seconds into a 10 second rez only to have the person I'm targeting hopping up and wasting my rez. If I had to see a macro for every heal during a raid I may just have to stab myself in the left eyeball with a spoon :smileyhappy:

try /target (tanks name) for the start of that macro.
