The race you would enjoy playing.Druid/Fury is mostly Wisdom based so races with higher Wisdom may have an easier time. There is so much equipment and jewelry with +stats bonuses that it doesn't make that much of a difference later on, you can compensate with equipment for any lack in base stats.Races with a base WIS lower than 20 may pose more of a challenge in the early levels, before you can get access to the +stats boosting equipment.

![]() From a pure stat perspective, for Qeynos High Elf and for Freeport Dark Elf. EDIT: You really should play the race you will enjoy the most. As a Fury you'll be in Lioness form most of the time tho, so appearence is less of a concern than for most classes. Message Edited by TimboSilvermist on 12-30-2004 10:29 AM

Actually if you look at the stats needed in the classes you will take, Agility and wisdom are mentioned. Wood elves naturally have tons more agi then the others you mention. So from a pure stat prospective, its a little off to say those are the best. That said tho, this game seems to allow nice stat buffs and stat equip to change your stats nicely. That and traits will give you the ability to choose any race and make it work. As shown by the troll warden I saw. :smileytongue:

![]() /agree Cadena I was looking to the end game and maximizing WIS first (a la EQ 1.0) but there's no doubt that high AGI will help a lot through the midlevels, especially if you solo a lot. IIRC, the races I mentioned have the highest starting WIS, but I could easily be wrong. It happened once before. :smileysurprised:

![]() Oh come on, a high elf druid?!?! The Wood Elf is the obvious choice for a nature loving (controlling) hippy class!!! High Elves are better suited to play arrogant mages. :smileytongue: Message Edited by Eeko on 12-30-2004 02:00 PM |

![]() Well of course the answer is the perfect race....Dwarfs. Dwarfs have high wis, str, and sta. All of which you will want when you get heal aggro which you will do most of the time. We get ac and agi buffs so that is an easy stat to raise. Being a hearty (dwarf) healer will save you and your party many many times over.

Gnomes. 25 wisdom like the high and dark elves, so 5 higher than woodies. But the added perk of a racial trait that gives +3% power pool, giving gnomes the largest power pool, assuming unhittable stat caps. If they are hittable, well, that puts a few other races into a potential tie, but the elves aren't those races. I don't believe agility matters much personally, but if you do, 25 starting for that too, 5 higher than high and dark elves, 5 lower than wood elves. Think dwarves would rock too, if you like hps. 25 wisdom, 25 stamina, with a few racial traits to further bolster the hp. ![]() I went Iksar with my fury. Wisdom and Agility start at 22 and it's a good all rounder. I find my fury heals a lot better than my gnome Templar and my power doesn't seem to go down as quickly with the Fury. All in all I love my Iksar Fury and its become my favourite character out of the 4 I have. I always thought it would have been great to be a ratonga fury ... you know ... a rat that turns into a cat. Plus they get a racial ability that reduces hate. I, however, am a dark elf. Plus on my first server I betrayed so I was a good aligned dark elf druid. I think my poor toon was a little confused with herself.

" I always thought it would have been great to be a ratonga fury ... you know ... a rat that turns into a cat. "I actually do play a ratonga fury and couldn't love it anymore. Definetly my favorite character. We get real high agility and pretty decent starting wis, not bad of a choice at all.
