At 52 (and just returning) is KOS a must buy to get groups?

Been away for a good while, re-learning the game. Having a difficult time getting groups, do I need to purchase KOS to get groups, i.e. is that where everyone at my level plays now, or am I too low at 52 to journey there?

52 You should be ok to buy KoS .. but I think you really should be in Sinking Sands or in the Desert of Flames areas.I go there alot with my 51 SK and have no problems finding groups.

Perhaps I just need to be a bit more patient. Thanks, I'll hold off on KOS until I get a bit higher then.

You do gain AAs once you are level 20, but can only do so if you own KoS... so...Plus it's an easy way to get from CL to Antonica =D

/agreeFor the AAs alone, it's worth it even for low-level players IMO.

I agree, too. I bought it for the AAs. I am 52 and I have no trouble finding groups. Most people in my range on my server are in the Sinking Sands and the instances off of it.

Also, you can start to do content in KoS around lvl 55 in addition to getting AA points. Also, there are some quests in the hidden refuge that you can pick up for harvesting that give nice XP. They are repeatable up to 5 times and can be completed quickly.

I don't have problems getting groups and I'm a 50 templar without KoS. I can't justify spending $30 on just getting AA points. When I'm ready to go to KoS, then I'll buy it - hopefully for less than $30 SMILEY

Make sure you advertise in the 50-59 channel too. I don't know if that existed before you left, but it's very handy!.

ok... you guys win.. I'm downloading KOS as we speak! Also, I'm having no problems finding groups.. Mostly in the Sinking Sands, POF, etc. I'm really enjoying the game once again.

btw, leveled twice just yesterday!

Yah I didnt even think about the AA portion of it until it was mentioned.Very good idea to purchase it for the AA's alone since we should have been earning them since we were 20 and there are some abilities that make our jobs SOOO much better.Also from the melee aspect of it and the bonus crits / heals .. very worth it.Glad to see that our peer pressure has added to Sony's pocket book .. Go us!
