OK I have a lvl 60 wizzard so I feel like a dork for asking this but I tried the in game help and couldn't find anything.  Is there supposed to be a window for your pet that lets you click commands to issue your pet?  When I summon a pet as a wizard I get a little box with commands but I made a necro last night and when I summon my bat pet I have to type /pet attack to get it to do anything.  Thanks for any help.

Only the one who don't ask for help is a noob others is new/novice and you are the latter SMILEY

Not sure I fully understand your question but the little pet command window should have a attackbutton (red arrow ? - at work cant confirm it right now..). That button is also possiboe to drag to your hotbutton bar. Target the moib press the button and the pet should boldly attack it.

And by having it in hotbuttons you can use a single keystroke if you like although I almost never use keystrokes I use mouse for almost everything =)

Just for clarification some fluff spell "pets" they are not controllable to attack anything so that button will never work for them.

Hope this helps !

what i'm saying is the pet command window itself does not appear when I cast "summon minion"  i assume there is a key command to get that window to appear but I don't know what it is.  I wasn't completely sure there was a pet command window for necro pets but I figured there had to be one since I got one with my wizzie fluff spell pets.

You know when I first started my necro I remember not seeing the window at first either, and having to start hitting keys to find it...I can't remember what I hit though SMILEY If someone doesn't post the command here, you could try what I do when I am missing something I want in the UI...I push each button on the keyboard, see reaction, if it's not what I wanted repush it (Or repush it if I see no reaction, in case it changed something not visible that I didn't want changed) Then I hold down the alt, and start slowly pushing buttons...then, if I still haven't found what I need I hold the ctrl button and ...yeah you got it...LOLCan take a while  to do it this way, so if my duo buddy is online I just ask him, because he knows everything it seems and won't forget like I will...LOL~Yira

It should appear automatically when you summon a pet, could it be that its hidden under another window you have?
The default location for it is to the far left of your screen, and about the middle there.

You can also enable/disable that box, I can't remember the shortcut (at work) but i think it was alt+p.

Thanks for the responses everyone.  It IS possible that it's hidden since I imported the UI settings from my wizard character.  I think it's more likely that it's turned off since I know I closed that little window on my wizard last time I conjured a pet.  I tried all the keys individually but  I hadn't gotten around to trying them with ALT and CNT so i'll try ALT+P when I get home.
