What is the min lvl to pick up the rock in Feerrott to start the quest? TIA

There isn't. You just have to be able to survive to get to it and have the patience to sit there 3 days straight.

There was an indirect min level, as you could not enter Feerroot below a certain level (was it 36?) before the patch that removed all level restriction on most zones.

Someone in my guild waited it out and got the rock, but he said that it is not worth it. They nerfed RotI a while ago and it does not do as much as it used to. One of the best robes at high levels is Ancient Rallocian Gown (spelling). I bought mine for 1.5pp but it is well worth it. I think it has a 14 int on it as well as pretty good resists. The only thing that I don't like is that every caster has one and everyone looks the same. I would really like it if they introduced dyes like they did in EQ1.

Not going to happen, and personally I don't think it should. No more freakin' Superman looking bards.

I think it should, but with smaller color choices. No more turquoise armor or bright pink robes. But if we could add SLIGHT tints or change just the accent colors in the robes, it would add a lot of diversity. They could design a system that would not take away from the realism.

LOL. Why would you want to limit color choices. I loved the dyes and miss being able to design my own look. So what if people want bright pink. This is a game. Games should be fun SMILEY

On a more serious note. What level do you need to be to get the chest to drop from a MOB? I'l level 43 Conjuror. Is that too high to hope for the chest drop. I don't think I can camp this rock for three days. RL gets in the way.

Three days? Someone on my server camped it for a week straight last week... I can only guess it popped at least once while he was sleeping and someone took it.

I got the robe to drop from a huuptic chest when I was level 36(maybe bout 3 weeks ago?). I think as long as you can defeat teh mobs you have a chance of it dropping. As far as equipping you can't till you're level 40. However you can finsih the quest and get the robe at any level (I soloed the whole thing as a level 38 conj no problem and got a decent chunk of exp for finishing the quest).
