I see people writing about "parses" where they can see how much damage they and others do. I can I do that? It sounds interesting.

Thats the one I am using: http://home.maine.rr.com/eqaditu/ACT/ It has different parameters you can choose from to parse. In raids BF usually parses dps, and I go for heals. Sometimes this also leads to poke a fury and tell him to heal and not to nuke all the time

![]() The ACT parser is great and is probably the most popular one used for EQ2. If you also get one of these keyboards http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/k...80&cl=gb,en you can view the parses without switching out of EQ2 or using the mini-window in the program.

![]() Once you've downloaded ACT and start looking at it...it can seem a bit overwhelming, don't worry about all that yet...the default setup is primarily what you want until you have become familiar with it. Some basic tips for starting out: 1) Open ACT 2) Open Launch Pad (Game) 3) Once in-game, type /log, this will turn on your "Log File" which is where the data will be stored and pasted from. 4) Create your own Chat Channel (mine is called "My Parses" 5) After you engage and kill an enemy you will here a "ding"/"ping" (usually 5-10 seconds after kill)...that sound tells you that the parse results are ready to be pasted. 6) Put cursor in the chat box and hit "CTL+V", this will paste the parse results.

I just wanted to mention that it's annoying to see people's parses in the chat channels. /ooc is ok only when it's inside an instance with only your group/raid. I just hit 60 a week ago on my brigand and I think it's absolutely stupid when people try to boast their dps in the chat channels. You might think this is an obvious statement, but I see it happen much too much. |

That is right, it can be annyoing. Best to use parsers is to create special channels for these and tell people in group/raid how to enter there so they can see too if they want.
