I was wondering, because of what appears to be a new class tree on character creation, if i wanted to be a dwarf assassin would I start as a swash or a ranger? Im confused now beacuse assassin is listed under the swash brigand tree. Thanks for all help=)

No idea why they changed the assassin to a rogue, but it's still ranger --> assassin.
