It makes it really aggravating to try to test collection quests and their rewards when some people are buying up all low priced shinies and repricing them at 6 million plat. Yes, I can get Oliver to cough up that much plat, but it takes extra time that I could be testing or documenting stuff in the wiki.

Maybe making a cap on items to be sold in Beta, say 1/10 of one click on Oliver (100K) to keep people from price gouging?

I don't get why some people ask stupid prices on an server that wont be here in another month, but meh, you could just go harvest the nodes as you are doing other stuff... It's not like its hard to farm shinies, but honestly...it's more time consuming looking for that one specific collection piece, than spamming Oliver for a few minutes to get a several million plat.

I agree though people like that have no place in Beta.

I always thought the price was set high so people would not buy it but see that it was in fact dropping.

Then explain why some of these people have STACKS of these items? If it was for display purposes, you'd put one up there at some ridiculous price.

Its pure greed with no reason for it. Upon launch the beta server will be gone and nothing from it will carry over to live except any reward claims one has earned.

I have been trying to spend some time dropping large strong boxes, fuels, shinies, etc onto the broker when I can at low, low, prices, so that if someone is out and about, they might be able to get something they need cheap from the broker, rather than having to zone back into the library and getting it.

Yup. First thing I did when I got to Beta was to make a bunch of portable workstations and put them on the broker for a few copper, followed by overclocked manastones. The goal being to try to make it easier for people to focus on testing.

Exactly. I will have to go out and harvest more materials for large strong boxes, gnomish divining rods, totems of the otter, and some depots. But that will take an entire day away from me for testing in order to help myself and as many others as possible so we can test. I don't post bugs and such I find here on the forums, I /bug them and move on. By the time I stop playing, I have forgotten everything I find so its easier just to /bug them at the time. I have too many lists and a list of my lists, to begin another list of bugs, spelling, grammar, feedback, etc for the beta.

When I decide I need to add some stuff like that, I send a new copy of one of my little alts over to beta, her bags bulging with the materials Wink I did that yesterday to make a bunch of overclocked harvesting tools, for the people who are beta buffing from low levels or level 1 to 110 who don't already have them.

Quest: Deadtime Stories of Bertoxxulous

If you purchase one of the collection pages from the broker and add it to a collection, you cannot then see the book "Deadtime Stories of Bertoxxulous" at ( 327, 17, -204 ) on a desk near Librarian Szeth in the North Wing Catalog.

As a result, the ! pages do not show up for you, so right now, you are doomed to buy all the pages on the broker. Is there some way to allow the book to be visible until you have actually picked it up, even if the collection has been started?

Huh. I am not able to reproduce this. I am still be able to see the book "Deadtime Stories of Bertoxxulous" after obtaining a page of it. Maybe it's just that the book was in another spot? It does have multiple spawn points in the North Wing Catalog room.

FYI, "The Planes of Power" book collection is set up the same way.
