Please provide all Carpenter related feedback here. Please remember to be specific, including recipe name and level. While many of the new art objects you see in game are already in the process of becoming house items, ff you see an object in the expansion zone that you believe would make a good house item, please feel free to let us know! Include in game zone and /loc information, as well as a short description of the item you are referring too.

Note: Carpenter recipes are still forthcoming.

Perhaps not strictly Carpentry-related (though a good 99% of what Carpies do is house items), but in this thread here:

https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq2/index.php?threads/new-expansion-prestige-home-wow.586747/

Oaky's brilliant video (#2 in the thread) on the new prestige house and recipe book includes a number of suggestions she herself had, just looking at what we've gotten in the book so far. Smile

Frankly, I agree with her on her suggestions: that blue trim around the square Tile would look stunning as another Tile (or building block set!); the opalescent (pearlescent?) sides of that Block as a Tile, especially for Erollisi Day; the seahorse (Column?) would look even more awesome in different colors, and so on. Smile

But for me, an even more burning question is: why the heck CAN'T we fly in this place?? It's ginormous! If the only "ceiling" is the surface of the water, hundreds of feet overhead, apparently, what's the problem? Even if we're supposed to be in a giant bubble, like in Aquaman's Atlantis, there's more than enough room for flying critters to stretch their wings, and who would be able to empathize more with FISH than critters that are already used to moving in three dimensions?? Frown

I get why we can't in the Researcher's Sanctum, I guess, what with the actual ceiling overhead, but it would be cool to do so once we break-out into the "water." ;->

There's a new flower that shows up in Vegarlson (overland) when you're on The Scrivener's Tale: Rockin' n Knockin' that we need to collect pollen from. I'd love to see it as a house item.

I'd like to make a proactive request that we get a rare rug or tapestry recipe or two that use the new rare roots.

Somewhere along the way, we switched over to using only the rare wood for carpenter, and between shrubs and root nodes in PoP we were SWIMMING in rare roots. The same looks to be true this time around, and having some desireable use for them once you've made enough cloth armor and belts to clothe and army would be nice. BigGrin (the potions/poisons just aren't popular enough to justify our depots bloated with rare roots BigGrin)

Are we having similar issues with the rare pelts that PoP did? I'm wondering if it's a matter of "we really, really wanted to make the rare pelts/roots 50/50, but couldn't get the numbers right"... :-/

I like the rug or tapestry idea. Maybe a banner, a carpet runner, maybe some decorative bags? Maybe some trivets or potholders for kitchens, some towels or something for bathrooms? Blankets, pillows and cushions for living and bedroom areas? Just trying to think of anything that may be woven from roots, not being snarky.

Sounds brilliant to me! Smile

My idea for when they reduced the amount of loams required for Tinkering recipes from 10 to 5 (thank you!) but didn't seem to reduce the prevalence of them in nodes was to have a bunch of window recipes, since loams kinda sorta = sands that you use for making glass. Smile

We do have more windows now, but I know lots of folks would like clear windows, not just holiday/Misty Fog/Vamp Mirrors/railings over empty space. If we had someone for that like we do for shrub nodes (the hungry halfling on the Thundering Steppes docks), people might be happier about any "cherry-picking." ;->

I tend to strip harvest so that anybody coming behind me has a chance at a variety of nodes. Even after all these years, I still see people saying they are harvesting for rares that only take the first pull from a node because they believe you only get a chance of a rare on the first pull.

I love the window idea. Maybe glassware and plates, bowls, etc that we do not already have access to from either the holiday books or the Lazy Halfling on TS docks. I think it would also be nice if we could take at least one of his quests for every tier at the same time so we could go and mass harvest in a bunch of zones before returning to him. Would take a lot less time to amass a dinner/cocktail service for 8-12 settings. Or maybe a multiplier, you accept his quest, he asks how many knives you want and you say some random number and he has you harvest a total of X number of each item so that upon turn in, you can get the random number of knives or whatever you told him you wanted.

There are like 10-15 different building block sets that can be made from Myrist alone! Those orange walls throughout are awesome for one.

Let me just say I love the mastercrafted house items very much!!!!!! Nice Job!!!!!!

[Bug] For house item called "View of the Undertow", The mirror surface doesn't look like a mirror at all. The myrist vanity item mirror is working fine.

[Feedback] For house item called "Myrist Long Display Cabinet", on the bottom of left side of cabinet it looks strange compared to rest of the bottom. Sort of looks like graphic was pasted on top of main graphic and they overlap. Would be nice if bottom was consistent like other cabinets.

[Feedback]For house items called "Myrist Bar Stool" and "Undertow Palace Side Table", have a whiteish ghost like appearance from distance but all other items do not even ones farther away. Would be nice if they rendered like the other items.

[Feedback]For "Brackish Ceremonial Bowl", "Brackish Bottle", and "Brackish Orb", (which are so amazing, wow wow wowzer) would have more uses for these items if they could scale a bit smaller.

[Feedback]For "Abyssal Pillar", "Aqueous Crate", "Aqueous Urn", "Tentacle Urn", "Tidal crate", and "Tidal Tribute", would be nice to have these scale much smaller.

[Item Request] Would love to see a tea set, dishes (plate, bowl, tray, silverware, mugs and goblet/chalice and/or place setting) basin, gnomeophone, table lamp, painting, and grandfather clock that match the Brackish items ("Brackish Ceremonial Bowl", "Brackish Bottle", and "Brackish Orb")

[Item Request]Would love to see a tea set, dishes (plate, bowl, tray, silverware, mugs and goblet/chalice) basin, gnomeophone, table lamp, painting, and grandfather clock that match "Undertow Palace Side Table"

[Item Request]Would love to see pillow, blanket, and curtains that match the bedspread of the house item called "Myrist Bed" (especially the blue pattern part). Maybe even an item that is just the mattress with bedding only so can use to cover up other beds mattress.

[Item Request]Would love to square and rectangular platform of bottom of house items called "Abyssal Pillar" and "Tidal Crate" and also circular platform of bottom of house item called "Aqueous Urn".

Note: Have graphics at Extreme Quality on a high end gaming rig.

Advanced Carpenter recipes are in! (Handcrafted stuff is not).

All recipes craft properly, use the proper reaction arts, etc
All items have art tied to them, and place properly.
All items have the Made By tag properly.
[BUG] All items have the "Handcrafted" tag instead of the Mastercrafted tag

Those who simply want to ogle can see them placed in the Rolling Pin Brigade GH - Antonica T3

[Feedback] Please consider changing "Circular Rug of Knowledge" and "Rug of Knowledge" to use 2 Casiun Root as their primary ingredient instead of 2 Arborian Wedge. (The precedent for rugs on the woodworking table but using rare roots comes from rugs in the 70s to 90s, so it wouldn't be anything ground-breaking) We truly have rare roots coming out our ears, and it just makes more sense to have a rug use roots than using wood.

@Caith
Furniture items in the advanced books look awesome. REALLY REALLY hope that the handcrafted books have building block sets from Myrist though.
There are probably 10 to 15 different wall and floor designs in Myrist alone that would be awesome as building blocks.

I like that one of the rugs from the library was in the advanced book. Hopefully, some of the smaller round ones will be in the essentials books.

Carpenter essentials are in - 2 complete sets of lovely building blocks and 4 other items. Everything crafted properly, and placed properly.

Made-by tags are missing on the whole kit and kaboodle, though.
