Right now I'm only L15 Brawler going Monk and I've leveled rather fast (skipping quests and funding him with my Warlock) but I have no range attack. Can Monks use bows? At L15 what should I use to pull with?

![]() Yeah that works but I hate getting him in the back or blowing power sprinting back..shurikens are the summoned like EQI or just a store purchased item? |

I use throwing knives. Pristine boiled knive pouch is a very nice piece of kit... +4 agi and + to health, power, and str as well.

![]() I just make someone else pull =p It actually works out since I'm lazy, and you can do a really easy HO > Pouncing Tiger > Taunt before the mob gets back to the group without anyone interrupting you.

![]() You can use a variety of ranged weapons: sheaths require throwing stars bandoliers require hammers pouches require shurikens There are two more but I always forget them. Visit the bowyer or blacksmith in your local town to pick up the ammo (iron is fine) and you can either buy a crafted or find a dropped ranged weapon. (Use the range function on the brokers). Then just equip the ranged weapon in your ranged slot and your iron weapon in your ammo slot and use your ranged attack icon to pull.

I still use Focused Strike. Usually works well enough, though I have knives as backups, I rarely use them.

![]() Shrunkiens require Pouches and there is no player made version. So you have to buy the statless merchant ones. Sheathes are for Knives. Bandoliers for Throwing Hammers. Satchel for the Throwing Axes. I use Pristine Etched Sheath. +7 agi +4 str.

![]() Not true on the shuriken pouches. I had a stat bonus pouch for my shuriken. I got it off the broker. It turned blue to me at level 21, so I replaced it with the knife pouch which is still orange. |

Shurikens most of the time for me, when I run out, which isn't uncommon in a good group, I use focused strike. Only thing I don't like about focused strike is the range is kinda short, but then again it is a melee attack, so I don't expect much, the good thing is the range on it is just enough to pull a mob standing next to, or just behind another aggro single.

BTW, on this topic, I tried "pulling" (while soloing) a little bit ago with ranged weapons (shuriken at the time) and saw something that turned me off a bit:If I throw a shuriken at a target where 2 un-grouped mobs are standing (typically it was a wandering Solo mob and several standing Group mobs) I get aggro from *both*. I had to Feign Death a couple of times because I pulled too much while soloing! Have others seen this?
