Spider stance and Control breathing do not stack, bug or intended?

So, I was upgrading some of my skills last night and decided to check how much the difference the upgrade made. I was tanking pretty much all night so I had spider stance up. I upgraded my control breathing to an adept. I hit the L key to look at my skill level in deflection. Casted control breathing and no increase. So, then after a while I removed spider stance and casted control breathing by itself and it works. So, the skills do not stack at all. Is this intended or is it a bug?

265 is the max you can have in defense and deflection. So spider stance maxes those. You can use both together and get your parry up though. My app IV of control breath puts my parry at 261 I believe.

That's with appIV of spider stance also, so I'm glad I didn't get spider stance adpet3 like my friend did ;p

That's with appIV of spider stance also, so I'm glad I didn't get spider stance adpet3 like my friend did ;p

I got lucky and both of those adept 1s dropped for me in solesk eye SMILEY

Oh well, either way I guess I am maxed out with both skills up and running.

Are you glad because Adept 3 Spider Stance makes absolutely no difference to the amount of defense/deflection given(+15 each from Apprentice 1 to Adept 3) or because App 3 is good enough for you?I, for one, am not happy that I wasted a ruby on it.Speaking of which, there should be a thread on what spells are actually upgraded with spell, well, upgrades...

Well I've gotten up to 269 def/defl now but never with spider stance/control breathing, so yeah I'm glad I didn't waste a ruby on it.
