![]() I just found this great article, here is a small sample of the intro. "For 2 solid days in late September, representatives from high level raiding guilds, avid forum posters, and fansite reps met with Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) in San Diego to discuss their EverQuest 2 likes, dislikes, dreams, and nightmares." Stole my interest pretty quick. It is really nice how it dicusses new things, bad things, good things, and how SOE actually takes into condieration the community not just sales and subscribers. Check it out link below. |

![]() I'd just like to say that I personally don't like that these players get to choose where the game goes. The High end raiding game is very different from a casual or semi-casual players game. I pay just as much to play this game as they do, so why didn't I get invited to attend the discussions.

![]() [Removed for Content]....dont get angy Greggthegrmreapr....but the article explains who some of these people (gamers) are and why they are there. One of the people they invited over you has been on Beta since day one and has contributed much much more to the polishing of this game than any of us have (he is also an avid solo'er). The other guy they mention in there is the leader of a high end raiding guild that is going through the raid content that some people only dream of going through. They want people who know more about this game than some of the developers do..heh. But who knows...maybe next time they will remember to get your ideas too :smileytongue: Have Fun Gregg |

We make up as wide a spectrum as any. We're the roleplayers, the raiders, the casuals, the tradeskillers, the solers, the guild leaders, the questers, the min/maxers, the writers and the l33t. None of us work for sony (although many of our ilk have in the past made the jump from fan to dev) and dont have any ability to SHAPE the game, we aren't in charge. What we do do is offer advice from our own perspective. True the person who raids 6 hours a day may not know much about the current newbie experience, but I'm sure he/she knows a WHOLE lot about the raiding game. So when you want feedback about raiding, you talk to the raiders. Tradeskills the tradeskillers, soloing the soloers, etc etc etc. So how do they pick who they talk to? Same way anyone does I guess. If you want a medical opinion you don't go to a random doctor, you go to a doctor you know and trust, and one who you've developed a raport with. THere's a reason most people go to the same doctor/lawyer/dentist/accountant for years on end. Those of us who are active in the communities get to know the devs and the management, it's a natural occurance with that sort of thing. As such, given that raport, I suppose SOE is just more comfortable asking the pertinant questions to people they know. The free tshirt is nice too. |
