auto loot - how to turn it off (non group)

so recently started playng the game again. something that is bugging me that i do not remember it being that way before. i searched every single option i can think of but cant find out why

i used to have an option of what loot i pick up. everything is auto looting now. mobs.chests even collections. how do i turn this off. driving me batty

/setautolootmode 0 (Normal)

/setautolootmode 1 (Greed/Loot All)

/setautolootmode 2 (Decline All)

group options was one of the places i looked but did not see anything that would help. what happens with the normal setting? i think that is default setting (that is what mine was at) i just want to get back to the way looting was before. a pop up that comes up giving me a choice of what to pick up or to decline. Right now every thing i left click on (chests.mobs.collections.) is auto looted and placed in my bags.

It's the last drop-down menu in Group Options.

...Oh and if you're using anything other than the default UI, you'll want to get that updated.

thanks for trying to help but i have checked the mentioned group options. I can see the 3 choices. normal, greed/loot all/decine all. Mine was set to normal and still is set to normal. but still a left click on anything lootable - chests.mobs.collections - will pick up everything and place it in my bags. i have no choice to decline looting like i could at one time.I will double check again but i believe "normal" is the default setting.

i am using the default UI except for the addition of the EQ2maps add on.

I know this may sound silly, but did you check the upper right hand box to show the "advanced" menu? Lots of cool options in nearly every category are hidden until that silly box is changed.

Any more, most of us dont want to be bothered with the little window that pops up. So we usually default it to round robin of Legendary and below items. A major change went thru a couple years ago that allows anything that was looted (even fabled) to be traded amoung players for 48 hours (if they were present during the kill). So typically if an item drops that you want just send a tell to the person that got it and usually they will just give it to you. It's kind of become a standard operating procedure if you get my drift.

Options > Group Options > Default Loot Method > Need Before Greed > Dafault Loot Item Rarity and choose treasured+, Legendary+ or Fabled+ > Back to Round Robin or keep it on Need Before Greed if you want to have all pop up windows active.

If your not grouped you must use the above method. If your grouped you can right click your name (default on the top left side of screen) and select Group Options.

That's weird. It should work. I guess you could try uninstalling EQ2maps and see if that works. I do know that sometimes my characters will randomly reset back to the default loot window popping up on everything ( I prefer auto-looting ) so might just be a random bug in the game.
