I've been playing for a few years on different characters and visited a few servers and I lose track of time and 'whats important'.

I don't like to 'waste' a week of playing time finding out that i 'worked hard' for a week doing something obsolete.

I realize that 'having fun/making friends/being a great person' are of course should be top priorities, so i wont list them.I won't list 'get level 92/320AA/92Tradeskill' either, because, everyone would not agree on that as being a priority.

So here's a few things, please mention what else is still making a priority in the game?

Epic, is it still very important?

Coldain ring, are there better rings now?

Tradeskill epic

Coldain shawl

cloak of the harvester/pack pony (pack pony has a unique use to get mats)

I started the thread because i have the longarm bow and love the range, and i thought 'oo, lemme go get the bow of underfoot, it's much better'. Then after a couple days of perfoming the quests, i realized just how long it would take and said 'how about if i dont go spend a week getting an upgrade of something I already have when there's so many things I dont have, (like my epic).

Would love to get some input, I spend too much time not doin what i oughtta, thought i'd ask.

Thanks team!

- Fishbone earring (if your race doesn't have the ability to breath underwater)

- Manastone

- Epic and "Epic Repercussion"

- Dragon and Giant languages (needed for Epic Repercussion)

- Tinkering at 425+

Every TS "Epic"/Signatures (if you're gonna tradeskill with this char)

I'm not sure if you still need to do the Griffon's quest to be able to fly or if being lvl 85 is enough now.

FBE for underwater breathing, Manastone, Epic, Dragon&Giant, TINKERING, FLYING MOUNT!

GREAT suggestions, exactly what I was looking for!

I'll mention adorning and transmuting, but, they are more 'really handy' than 'must have' skills/items.

Other peoples' thoughts on adding to the list?

What about the solstice earring, it gives those nice stats, and lets you see the red shineys, but, do red shiney collections yield anything more than furniture?

The trouble is unless the items have a unique effect (like your epic) they will always be obsolete quickly as you level, so when they're discarded, if you only put in the effort for the stats, it can feel like a waste if you don't use it. The good thing about signature quests, like the bow of the underfoot, is that they can give you a nice trophy for your house and the more quests you do, the more titles you gain. Personally I aim to do each signature quests on at least one character, although it's not at the top of my list. Everyones goals are different. When I first started I enjoyed taking my time and doing as many quests as possible and actually reading them and enjoying the lore. I still do that with that character, but I don't bother with my alts. My main goal is to get the best gear I can realistically get to allow me to be the best player I can on each of my max level toons (currently 3). My playtime isn't massive so I set myself weekly goals which often is just finishing off a quest on this toon or running a dungeon that I know drops an item I want on that toon, etc.

The Bogstrutter Walking Stick from Moors of Ykesha is a must-have for every player.  Free 35% run speed is never a bad thing and it stacks with almost every run speed item/buff iirc.

Good one! I have the stick myself, awesome to run quick inside dungeons!
