![]() I ran through ultimately betraying Qeynos last week to test it out on live (only the second time I've betrayed EVER, so this is pretty much like a new experience again as it's been so long, last time was 2007 or 2008). Later this week or sometime next week I'll do the same from Freeport and post bugs/issues with that; first I want to knock out a bunch of quests before I take my char back. This was done on a brand new char. I started the process at level 19, got level 20 in Exile, and went from 21-22 while working up faction to join Freeport. At all AA for a while now, so most comments are relevant to the same level range! KELETHIN -> QEYNOSQuest: Moving to QeynosThe dialogue when you pick up the quest tells you to go to Qeynos Harbor. This is now incorrect; you need to go to the South Qeynos area of the Qeynos Capitol District. (typo reported)Quest Reward: Her PeopleI got the Call to Home ability twice on my hotbar when I completed this quest. Could've just been a fluke, but seemed odd. It's only in my ability book once, so more cosmetic than anything.QEYNOS -> EXILEWhen speaking to the Ambassador about changing citizenship to elsewhere, he tells you that all of your spells skills will be "downgraded to 'apprentice' knowledge. This will happen even if you do not change profession." This has been mostly untrue since Game Update 58 (October 2010): In Game Update 58, players will be able to retain the upgrades they have earned in their combat arts and spells to a certain extent. As per the patch notes: Spells above apprentice are now preserved after betraying in the following situations: - Betraying to a different class: -- Shared spells will retain upgrades -- All new spells will start as apprentice - Betraying back to original class: -- Shared spells will retain upgrades -- Any spells that were upgraded before betrayal will remain - Betraying to the same class: -- No spell upgrades will be lost Quest: Trade SecretsSprockfuddle did not have a quest feather after completing Dissatisfied With Qeynos but before picking up this one. Not sure if this is intentional. |

![]() It took me longer than "about a week", got distracted running evil quests. Here's the other half of my feedback/bug reports. My character was level 22-25 for these quests, with AAs ranging from 50-75 by the time I was done. FREEPORT TO NERIAK(Quest) Finding a SponsorAmbassador V'Nox did not have a quest feather indicating she had a quest to offer.Call to Home was yet again wiped and added to me. Is this really necessary... are there really 7 seperate abilities for this one still? If so, how about the name just get switched back to what it used to be (Call to Freeport, etc) because it's annoying to see the same ability be wiped and re-added every time you betray/move.NERIAK/GOROWYN TO FREEPORT(Quest) Moving to FreeportAmbassador Brutus had a feather instead of a book over his head when I went to turn in this quest.(Quest) Freeport City PatrolThe NPCs for the fight behind the port authority were already attackable mobs instead of non-aggro mobs before I hailed them. Was still able to get the update but they didn't attack me when I told them they should be removed. (they just respawned as non-attackable though so maybe someone tried and failed before I got there)(Quest) DR-90 Turn InObligatory Call to Home ability complaint.Somewhat related... the majority of the Neriak city quests cannot be received unless you're a Neriak citizen. I had picked up as many of these quests as I could and finished all but one before return to Freeport. Now I cannot turn-in the quest called "A Real Snake Oil" because Ssapnolu Do'Te'Ximtor won't talk to me due to being a Freeport citizen. (/bug reported this too)Just discovered I had one other Neriak quest to turn in, "Monster Creation Made Easy". Durrysn's responses make it sound like I'm a citizen of a good aligned city and he won't accept the completed quest. Why is Neriak so restrictive against FP/Goro citizens?FREEPORT TO GOROWYN(Quest) Moving to GorowynObligatory Call to Home ability complaint.FREEPORT TO EXILEThe Ambassador gives you partially outdated information when you are going through the dialogue that leads into the quest "Dissatisfied with Freeport". Here is my breakdown from the log:- (1348843235)[Fri Sep 28 10:40:35 2012] aNPC 110024 Ambassador Brutus:Ambassador Brutus/a says to you, "This is all hypothetical, of course, since none of us would ever want to leave Freeport! But, hypothetically, I would caution you that such a change would require sacrifice. If you changed your citizenship to that of a city that accepts those professions considered 'good,' then you would be required to re-confirm your profession when you arrive there. "- (1348843236)[Fri Sep 28 10:40:36 2012] You say to Ambassador Brutus, "What does that mean, exactly?"-- (1348843236)[Fri Sep 28 10:40:36 2012] aNPC 110024 Ambassador Brutus:Ambassador Brutus/a says to you, "That means that, although you would not lose your adventure level rating, all your spells and skills would be reset to "apprentice" knowledge. This would happen even if you did not change your profession. - NOT true. See GU58 changes: http://eq2.zam.com/wiki/Betrayal_an...ility_Retention-- In addition, until you completed your move, you would not have access to your shared bank, - True.-- your house (including all but your first broker slot), - NOT true, while your house may be difficult to access, all 6 broker slots have been available to Exiles ever since the change that gave everyone, regardless of house type, 6 vault slots.-- and you would not be welcome in many cities." - True.(Quest) Listening in for Qeynos- Corporal Henk Rimebreaker does not have a quest feather to begin this quest after completing "Dissatisfied with Freeport".- No quest bauble for the Listenomitron. (reported to Terrogaunt)(Quest) Timing the Night Shift- No quest bauble for the Voice Modulator. (reported to Terrogaunt)- Commandant Placida has a typo in her dialogue; she says "Miltia" instead of "Militia"- The Voice Modulator was not removed from my inventory after completing this quest.(Quest) Destroy the Weapons CacheNo quest bauble for the Magical Explosive Device. (reported to Terrogaunt) It would have been awesome if Lucan had personally sentenced me to death in Execution Plaza while being Exiled, but at the last minute someone intervened and ferreted me away to Haven. Just a thought. |
