I like to craft, I almost have the set. For those who have taken the time to build up all 9 main tradeskill classes and 2 minor (tinkering and adorning), I had an idea for an epic tradeskill quest. The quest would involve all classes as is the case with the tradeskill epic but, would require the items as heirloom only/none-commission so the items would have to come from crafters on your account. The reward would be a crafting station for each segment of the quest based on the tradeskill completing the segment. Then when the whole thing is bought together you could then claim the old tradeskill instance as a prestige house. You could either make it one per character or one per account (repeatable). I'd love one of these as a place for my apprentices but I'd rather have it as an earned reward and requiring all the classes then something I can just have through station cash. |

I disagree. some of us don't want to level crafters to 90. I got 3 90 crafters. and at the this point...unless they do some kind of major overhaul so I'm not just grinding writs until a fall asleep, I won't be leveling anymore. especially considering that for most of the TS classes...there's almost (or is) nothing to show for it. the only thing a woodworker can sell is arrows/boxes and maybe invis totems. alchys got the cure potions, fighter spells and poisons. jewelers make scout spells sages make mage and priest spells. provis get food/drink...at least in the max tier. most tier's below max you get through too fast or the bonuses are negligable. Armorsmiths, weaponsmiths, Tailors and Carps have nothing to offer adventurers. at least the carps have house items...except the fact that nothign they can make outside of the WL stuff is better then the SC stuff for looks. and a prestige home that is the old TS instance? which one? then 6 floor Freeport one? or the 1 floor and 3 room Qeynos one? either one of them would be worthless as a house...all you're really asking for is a personal TS instance. that's all anyone would ever do with it. Now if you wanted a quest for a prestige home OR a prestige house item (like a multi decked ship/a Temple of War styled building to place within a home like the new Tree House) that needed several componets from teh different classes with locked steps like the Shawl, that I wouldn't mind. like you need alchemist friend/components that have to be handed to armorsmith/weaponsmith/tailors for making metal components or cloth and lether peices..with some of those peices needed carpenter attention who also need alchmist peices or sage made peices, ect. make a quest that brings back a lot of the old interdependacy and needs lots of several peices. polishes and resins made by scholars, tempers and washes by alchies that are used to make metal compents from armorers and weaponsmiths, leather and cloth items from tailors...some of those components given to carpenters and woodworkers to make new peices that are basically the other componetns fitted together properly...then handed off to jewelers for detailing...and all the tempers and washes and dyes are made from extracts that are made by provisioners. and some peices skip other parts. like solid metal peices may jump right from armorer/weaponsmith to jeweler then back to carpenter....who combines them with other wood parts they might make. but it needs like 40 of this peice, 40 of this peice, 30 of this one, 20 of this and this...and you get the SC quality super house item...OR a nice looking Prestige Home. heck they could even make several different homes that use different combinations of items and each one is a different one time quest.... or make you have the three options in teh quest dialog, but you can only pick 1 home to make per account. but every toon on the account gets one. |
