The Cathedral of Our Lady Marr on Freeport Server

Well, I was so inspired by Jaz's cathedral to Innoruuk that I had to attempt to build one too. It took me a week and a half, only so short due in large part to the help of Jaz herself when I was having trouble with the layout editor, and many of the decorators on Freeport sever, who lent me all sorts of objects and opinions, and helped me decide between this lighting and that font And huge thanks to Smitehame, who allowed me to take over his house! This house is located at Smitehame's Manor of Erollisi on Freeport Server, and also published as The Cathedral of Our Lady Marr under Large Homes.

That being said, I'll throw up the screenies

A short hallway ending in a set of double doors, which lead to the chapel proper.

Turning around to look back at the entry doors.

And back around to look at the dome.

On either side of the nave, a gallery of windows ends in a small shrine to a patron God; Marr to the north, and Karana to the south.

A small locked door that presumably leads to a room under the loft (actually the guild hall door with the harvest depot embedded)

Stairs up to the loft.

There are 3 buttons that will play music if right-clicked along the molding

And a final view of the entire building from the loft looking down.

Beautiful! I love how you used the poles to add the decorative color and detail to the columns. the whole thing is stunning SMILEY

My husband is positively drooling! It's amazing... but dedicated to the wrong "god". All know that our Father Innoruuk is the only true god on Norrath ;p

You have done an excellent job. The cathedral is airy and lovely. I can say with certainty that your fear of it being "absolute rubbish" is entirely unfounded. If the ravings of the others on the boards haven't convinced you, then let me do so!

I admit that I contemplated a white marble cathedral, but scrapped the idea, thinking that the white marble would be overwhelming. You proved that wrong, and I deeply regret not gathering the materials to do a cathedral in white. Ah well, I have six months to continue to steal--er, study--your cathedral ideas for the next one.

I cannot wait to see what you do next.
