Sometime about 5:00 PM CST a Kerran hunter will be seeking seeking aid in gathering pelts. The zone is unknown at this time however so keep your eyes and ears open

If interested, please meet in the evening (7/15/10 - between 10pm (Pacific) and midnight tonight) in Antonica outside of Blackburrow.

Seek out Knight Arynn for more information!

*Each city takes no responsibility for any loss of life or limb while fighting the gnolls, and compensation is not promised. Any acceptance to fight these creatures are of the participant's own lack of caution, even if they become a bloody stump of a figure by the end of it. The Guide event yesterday in Temple Street was only the 2nd one I ever been involved in, and it was fun! Really nice house item, too, from the auto-complete quest - great work! These events would be welcome more frequently (hint hint) SMILEY

Thanks!

I have the RSS feed for this thread on our guild website so we can be aware of upcoming guide events, if they are posted here. SMILEY  We missed the Temple Street thing since nobody knew.  We love guide stuff and the work you put into running quests for us, hope to see more soon!

What I was saying, is that I use the RSS feed for this specific thread on our website, so we can see the date and subject of the latest post here whenever we visit our guild page.  Clicking on that brings us directly to here to read the details, which hopefully will be some news on the next guide event. SMILEY  I don't have access to any other information on quests beyond what the guides post here.

There must have been a guide at Gnomish Headquarters last night for Tinkerfest, because I came back from an afk and was pleasantly surprised to see a quest on my screen!  I clicked accept and was able to get the Tinkerfest book!  Woot!  Now all I'm missing is the statue!

I wish there was a way myself, Ziabis.  It seems like the Lucan D'Lere guides prefer to just pop in randomly rather than set anything up in advance.  Once when I did see it announced in advance it did not list a zone but just said "somewhere", so I spent 30 minutes hopping from zone to zone trying to find them with no luck.  If I see one posted that just says "somewhere" again, I won't bother.

The thing is, I am certain they are being mentioned in level chat channels but since those are unmoderated these days, I have no interest in watching them even for events because I would have to read 15 days worth of people discussing what sexual acts they would perform or want others to perform on each other just to maybe see one of these mentioned.

If I had some way of knowing in advance, then I would attend almost every one.  I can only assume that I am someone they do not want to cater to.

I'm with you there Jack, I love guide events and would attend more if they would just be announced a bit better. I was hoping this would occur more often now, that there is a single topic to watch (yes I use RSS on this as well ). But sadly thats not the case. Other servers seem to use the forums much more. Another good method would be a special guide event channel on the servers, where only guides could speak (something like the system message system for example could be used for that). That way noone would be forced to read all the stuff other people say. Apart from the guide that ignored me yesterday I found our servers guides to be quite pleseant and nice people and would love to interact with them more, if there was only a chance of knowing when the events are. I'm not sure about US times, but during european day times I hardly see guides ever and if so I stumble upon them by chance. This is a rather sad state of communication that really really needs to be improved imho.

Best regards

Pijotre Kajek

Guides are volunteer players who have Real Lives (TM) as well. I'd honestly just be glad we get some of their time.  Of course, one way to help this might be to enter the guide program yourself.

Hiya Z - the way I keep up is by just clicking a link at the bottom of the thread page (as long as you're logged in, it will be there) that says "Watch This Topic" - then every time someone posts I get an email. It does mean you get notices for other people posting, too, but it's the best way I've found to keep up. Hope this helps!

At the Overseer's direction, Busla will again be recruiting researchers for the ancient tome on Saturday at 3 pm pacific, in Steamfont.  She may also have a catolog to be filled and possibly lunch to be shared if waivers are signed for testing of the discombobulator.

We appreciate the notice and the time that was spent doing this. I was lucky enough that one of my friends actually called me to inform me that it was going on. I will be checking this post regularly to make sure I don't miss anything again. By the way the book and sculputre are really cool, thanks!

As Tinkerfest winds down, clockworks that provided first aid during the festivities are also winding down.  The Overseer has noted reports of several in need of repair.  Interested tinkerers should keep an eye out for a clockwork in Steamfont after 6 pm and Kelethin after 10 pm.

Attention! Weaponsmiths, hobbiest, lore collectors, etc! A Dwarf will be continuing research into the legendary axes of Kaladim on Friday the 6th around 11 am somewhere in the Butcherblock Mountains. Those interested in assisting should make their way to the zone.

Attention! We have received word from Kelethin that a poor fae, claiming to see a troll in her shadow, has escaped from her family's care.  She may be found on Sunday the 8th around 2 pm somewhere in Antonica

Please remember to enjoy the Far Seas festival, currently visiting Greater Faydark near Kelethin!

Edit: poor spelling, my bad!

*winks* If the guides get bored you can always come to a party in South Qeynos at the guild hall of Right Hand of Innoruuk. I promise we will not sacrifice anyone you know!

SMILEY I could beat myself sometimes. The worst part about this I was in Kaladim on an Alt. doing the Stormhammer Signature quest during this. Oh well, someday I will find this Dwarf. By the way please keep up the good work and also posting in this thread. I really want to participate in the guide events and watching chat in game can become so mind numbing. SMILEY

A nervous looking wood-elf holding a stack of scrolls walks up to you.  "Please read the following scroll and if you have any questions please let me know," she said softly, holding out one of the scrolls.

"To whom it may concern,

Reports of a Fae, claiming to see a troll in her shadow, have been reported.  The Fae is seeking assistance from a variety of sources and has been seen visiting mage towers, apothecaries, and temples alike.  If seen in Antonica on 8/12 at 7 pm or in Greater Faydark on 8/12 around 8 pm please approach her calmly.  If you would assist her with any tasks and then encourage her to return to her family in Kelethin, it would be greatly appreciated.

Signed,

Kelethin Senior Mind Healer
