'Morning all! I had an unusual experience last night. While harvesting in CL there was a tremor and a white chat message stating that the Bloodskull Orcs in the SE Commonlands were restless. Being the curious sort I dropped my pick and trotted over to the SE area near Ohlgran Foulgore and there were 4 or 5 Orcs roaming around that seemed to be PC's and were tagged as Anonymous. After hailing one I was referred to their "leader" who gave me a quest to kill 20 Bloodskull Priests. Once I completed this I was rewarded with a fluff summoned Orc pet, which was pretty nifty to my little fury.

My question is, do these little events happen often, or even on a schedule? It was just dumb luck that I was paying attention to my chat box and the time and noticed the message so I've no clue if I've missed the cue before. The closest thing I can think of is being in the Forest Ruins at nightfall and getting the message that the undead were reclaiming the ruins or that the watcher had awakened.

What you are describing is an uncommon GM run event on your server.  They ran one on Permafrost a couple of nights ago, as well.  I've seen this one and a GM run drinking contest in QH/EFP.

Uncommon, eh? Ah well, I suppose that adds to the fun. I'll have to keep an eye on my chat channels then.

Oh! And thanks to the GM's for the random bit of fun last night. I think I'll have my carpie build some small furniture to put in my Fury's apartment for little Xebann. It's a shame we don't have something along the lines of Doll size furniture for our pets. Hmmm... *wanders off looking for Domino*

These little events aren't on any particular schedule. They are run by members of the guide program and are great little bits of fun. I only wish I had more luck finding them out. The only time I found an event on my chars on Splitpaw my ADSL router decided to stuff up.But do keep an eye out for them if you can.
