Hey Darda! My apologies for the Lavastorm event not going off as expected last night. That particular event requires multiple guides to run the event, and we just had some communications foul ups and wound up not having enough people to run it. I'm currently trying to get a list cobbled together so we can run this one again. As for the Tinkerfest Events... We'll be getting more of those out before the end of the Festival so everyone can get their Tinker-groove going... - Gryger

Tinkerfest is ending Monday. Any chance of getting the Book (Tome of Tinkering, iirc) Guide quest before then? Though, technically both Tinkerfest Guide Quests can be completed after Tinkerfest, assuming you can get your hands on the items for the Tome quest but the mobs for the other one are available all year.

well crap .. I missed it. Any chance of getting it again? It can be done at any point if you have the items.. which I do. Heck, even if I didn't, I'd be fine holding on to the quest till next year .. assuming I'm still here .. still pondering that thought. ----- And, can you please not just edit your original post? I turned on the notifications from the boards but it doesn't help apparently if you just edit your Original post. A quick post saying you edited it would be nice & would trigger the notification system. Thanks.

Unfortunately, those quests have been taken out of rotation, so there's no way I can offer them again until next year. As for the posts, I'll continue using the top post so it always contains the most up to date information, but I'll make sure to post something so your 'updated thread' ticker um... gets ticked off... LOL

Just in case anyone is interested... We had 42 participants in last night's Tinkerfest Event! I guess you guys REALLY like Tinkerfest! First off, my apologies for the lack of Tinkerfest specific quests this week. There was a communications breakdown, and we didn't get a chance to get more of them out there. We are planning to address this issue before the next festival so festival specific issues will be run more often. Please remember, we are here as volunteers, so I can't really force people to run specific quests. As I said, we're working on this so the next festival will run a bit more smoothly. As for the quest being taken out of rotation, this is not a server-specific thing. When the bosses at SOE say a festival is over, any quests associated with it are taken out of rotation (not permanently, just until the next time the festival comes around) on ALL servers. The lack of Tinkerfest specific events has NOTHING to do with SOE, it was an issue with the Permafrost team. However, when SOE says "It's over" we have to remove any characters associated with those festivals and are not allowed to run any of those quests again. Again, my apologies for the mix-up this year, we're working on the problem and will get this ironed out quickly. Gryger Halifax

So, in an attempt to get more events out there, I'd like you to tell me what times would be best for you to attend an event. Please realize, we'll do everything we can to accomodate you, but I can't guarantee we'll be able to please everyone. PLEASE REPLY VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE. DO NOT POST YOUR RESPONSES IN THE FORUM. I'll compile everyone's replies and get this to the other Guides on the server so we have a better idea of what works for the players. Look for a half-elf necromancer to be stageing a protest outside the Academy of Arcane Sciences building in North Freeport about 5pm PST on Wed. 8/18..... Apparently the Academy dosent want to take his research very seriously and he will be out to prove them wrong......with a little player help of course....

Where oh where have our little guides gone? Oh where oh where can they be? Darda is sad seeing all the events posted on all the other servers with much smaller player bases than ours...did Permafrost end up the red headed stepchild server that gets no guide love? =( And I hear from other people how guides gave them an entire set of shinies...I have got 2 =( Come on permafrost guides...give us some shiny action and give us some quest love...with the tinkerfest fiasco of 2010, I hope that we dont get screwed with nights of the dead... You know I love you guys, but you are disappointing us and making a lot of us feel let down and losing complete interest in showing up to your events if when they do get scheduled...and for the love of brell, do something besides find the dragon in random noob town!

Announcing the Days of Harvest! As part of the ongoing Festival of Shadows, Days of Harvest spans the entire month of September. The Guides of Permafrost are here to lend a hand as all of Norrath celebrates another bountiful harvest! There are couple of small side quests that can provide a little fun, all leading us one step closer to "Nights of the Dead" in October! A quick "thank you" to those who came to Freeport last night (some of you risking a beating for being Qeynosian!) and helping our kitty sneak-thief with her problem! We had a great time hosting this one, and will hopefully be running it again for others to participate in! As a quick side note, because of the the bonus XP weekend and the fact that it is a holiday (in the US) we're probably going to keep it a little on the light side this weekend, but you never know... keep your eyes on Level_1-9, we might just pop in!
