Shock wave

I know that illusionists needed a buff after the last expansion. However, I was disappointed that SOE made such a drastic change to one illusionist spell, color shower, in an attempt to rectify the imbalance between coercers and illusionists. Does anyone else feel that shock wave could use some loving? I would have preferred to see tweaks made to several of the illy spells with base damages lower than their coercer equivalents.

I wasn't aware of any drastic change to Colour Shower, are you sure that you don't mean Construct being changed into Theorums? Now that was a nice change for them, taking a useless POS spell and turning it into a good damage dealer.

I have absolutely no idea what you have against Shock Wave though. It's a great damage dealer and ideal for stunning groups when solo / grouped. If my Illy had it then maybe I'd play her more as I really miss it when soloing on her.

They reduced reuse for color shower fro 45s to 20s and its duration to 5s. This was a major boost to illys on AE fights. I'm not questioning the boost to illys. However, I would have preferred that it be done by changing one of their useless spells (like construct to theorems) or tweaking several of their weaker spells to bring them on par with the coercer versions.

Looking at our Raid parses, they are quite on par nowadays, and some Illies claim to be doing much more dps than Coercers, so I don't think they need any more tweaks. They should be thankful that Sony made ANY changes as they rarely listen to players complaints.

But why post this in the Coercer forums?

I believe the change to color shower puts coercers at a relative disadvantage with respect to AE (encounter) fights. I am happy for Illys but think the change to color shower solved one problem while creating a differnt imbalance between the classes.
