My assassin caps dps solo too and I've been known to pick lesser gear just because it has no DPS mod and I'm sick of seeing the worthless stat. I have this fantasy that SOE keeps track of what gear we choose and use and that it somehow gets referenced when evaluating new gear.
I also have fantasies involving redheads that are probably more realistic.
