This was fixed last week, if not before. You were just in an odd state from before that fix went in.

Life is dangerous if you want to hang out in a level 100 zone as a non-level 100 adventurer. You don't actually need to get in range of them, and I'm 100% ok with keeping everyone reminded that life is dangerous so pay attention Smile

Aha, thank you, I didn't realize that was showing a blue dot. I'll see if there's a way to hide that.

This is correct, there is NEVER not a totem available and they are trackable too, so I think making it any easier would make it somewhat pointless to even have a task to do rather than just handing you the completed quest when you walk up. It takes a bit of time to complete the quest by killing goblins; it should take a similar amount of time to complete it by hunting totems.
