Lair of Scale 4- Foggy Bottom - black place respawn
Foggy Bottom (on AB) is my dungeon (thanks, msgnomer, for at least giving it a try); as my first dungeon, I left the entrance where it was when I first zoned in.
I went back last week to run it, wanting to earn some Dungeon Marks without having to figure out a new dungeon's strategy, and got myself killed with a stupid pull in the Summer Maze Room. Yes, I respawned in a "black place" -- tried all kinds of things trying to figure out if my screen froze or just what (as I've had problems with crashing to the BSoD in dungeons). And yes, when I finally gave up and used the /house command to leave, I had a quick glimpse of the dungeon again before returning to where I was when I entered.
I later ran through my other dungeon -- a Crushbone layout called Skittles -- Taste the Rainbow. I had made a circular layout by blocking off branching rooms, and placed the entrance and exit in a small hallway room between two major rooms. I also walled off half of one room (Orange Clockworks) because it was larger than I wanted to decorate/populate. I went the other direction around the circle, starting with the Red Room, and started working the Orange Room, but again, a bad pull got me killed. I "came to" in the walled-off section of the Orange Room, and couldn't figure out how to get out. I even tried aggroing one of the mobs through the wall and let it kill me; same respawn. I was really angry at having spent half an hour to earn my 50 DM, only to lose it all by having to use the /house command to leave.
These problems really need to be fixed. There are few enough dungeon runners any more. We can't afford to frustrate them to the point of quitting altogether.
