At the end of the day you're free to spend your AA any way you see fit. From my own experience, which includes raiding, Soul Canni is useless. I'd rather use the points on other spells in decaying tree to help with damage / debuffing. But that's just me
Hey Mrrshan
Do you mean Soul Ward or Cannibalize? If you mean Soul Ward is useless I would agree with you, the points are better spent elsewhere. However, if you mean Cannibalize is useless I would have to disagree - with Cannibalize you never run out of power. Because of Cannibalize I find I can comfortably solo the two Nameds in the towers in the Hard version of the Icy Keep frostfell instance, the ones that mana drain constantly. Why do I think Soul Ward is useless? As a slow recovering spell it tends to be kept for 'special occasions' and therefore is hardly ever used. Every time I used it I seemed to get AOE'd straight after, before I can heal up and end up dead. And, in order to get it, you have to sink AAs into useless areas such as fear spells. As to the amount it wards, I have my doubts too - assuming you have around 20k hit points (for easy maths) it is going to ward fro around 18k. I have had Carrion Warding land for 19.3k regularly so the 18k doesn'tinspire me any more. OK, that is 18k with no Crit effects applied but with the scarcity of it's use (and the risk) I still don't like it.
