Thank you for the slimmed down backside! Now I won't have to remind myself that though that part is scary large, the face is too adorable for words.
And just for the record, I like the riding animation. Some of my guildmates have said they thought it was quite catlike.
All in all, I like the stalker much much better than the bear or the drooly warg or the bounce me to death rhino.
I'm going back in and adjusting a few things with the run. After running around on it all day yesterday, I figured out what's been bugging me about it. Now that I have some time, I can smooth out a few things.
The main thing to me is the mount does not run like a cat. A cat is polydactile at low speeds, and when running it keeps its head and forward body fairly level. That's a primary feline characteristic, part of their hunting skill. Also, they tend to run smoothly rather than bouncily. It's front and rear feet do not stay in sync with each other, one always leads the other.
By contrast, the game mount looks more like it is pausing to leap over a ditch with each step. Its head bobs unnaturally for a feline.
Cosmetically... the head is awfully large and needs to be smaller, though it isn't as bad as some people claim. Tigers for example, have pretty large heads.
