Gorenaire and Talendor have always been rivals, they were in EQ1 too. Though I've always seen it as more of a sibling rivalry, just trying to one up or outdo eachother. Although I coulda swore in this case it was Gore that joined first, then Talendor followed to make sure Gore didn't gain any advantages over him.
