5-room houses are too small for guilds, it's that simple. Especially when you throw in all the amenities that a guild hall can have. Try cramming 30+ people into a 5 room house to represent guild members, plus another 10 to 20 to represent amenity NPCs, plus some rather large furniture items to represent the port spires and druid rings, and you'll see what I mean.
People want a Tier 1 guild hall as a house so that they have room to decorate. They could care less about the amenities (and amenities should be guild hall only). Not to mention Tier 1 guild halls are easily affordable to individuals. If need be, the price could be increased dramatically for individuals; only those that can afford it, will.
No its not. That wasnt even the debate at fan fair, Where you even there? The issue was people were upset they made the tier 1 guildhall the same as the 5 room house. They were even requesting just a different texture or something to make it different. Most people didnt even expect the devs to take thier own personal time and create an entirely new hall. It was a surprise to many.
My entire guild sits by the flag everyday in less space then it takes to fill 1 room. Also druid rings dont exist as large amentities in tier 1 guild halls. They become just an NPC.
Again larger halls or jsut different 5 bedroom homes w larger ceilings are fine, but leave guild halls to guild halls.
