Here is what i thought. Wouldnt it be nice if i could go up to these NPCs in the ironforge exchange (im from qeynos) hand them the mats to make my piece(s) for the proof of the pudding and they take their time making it for me. Like the girl in Thundermist village when she makes your dwarven work boots. I figure they will be willing to help out when my proof of the pudding was x amt of time old and essentially saying you put in your dues waiting for a PC now let the NPC give you a hand.
Maybe its crazy idea but figured it was simple solution. =/
So... someone could just get the quest, do their own part and then sit an wait out the timer without doing anything else (counting only in-game time or total time including all time logged out), no need to do any additional crafting, no need to talk to any other PC about doing any crafting, go off adventuring or whatever.. and then after the span of time is done, you can go to the NPC, hand in bits and get handed the pieces without any effort whatsoever?
There already isn't additional crafting and someone can get what they need simply by spamming a channel and offering plat for a combine. How is standing around while someone you paid to make something makes it for you anymore effort than this? Not that I would support it as such. I would be in the camp to have additional steps. But our current situation where you hand someone the bits and the money you promised and get handed the piece you need is not all that different from this proposal.
