Ahh man!

When I read the title of this thread, I was like... "That's it. Close Mind was the only thing preventing my betrayal back to Monk. Time to get jiggy with it." But yeah, Charm is the only bane of CM's existence. Fortunately it's a rare problem. I would be far more unhappy if CM was immune to charm, but not to stun, root, stifle or fear.
