Who said it was SoE's fault that I couldn't attend? Whether or not I, personally, can afford to go or not, is not the issue. This entire complaint (not every complaint is a whinge you know, so why always claim it is, just because you disagree with it?) is about in-game items being given to a small, select, bunch of people that in the end causes other players to feel left out?
However much you try to justify it, it is unfair that SoE provide "extras" for US residents only. Forget about the logistics of travelling halfway around the world to go to fanfaire, what about the other competitions that exclude everyone else? They should either include everyone (and they could if only they got their house in order - other organisations can, as I have evidenced in previous threads), or no one. I will say it once more - I pay the same, if not more, than most of you who call me a whinger here and I should be entitled to the same benefits, either explicit or implicit.
You're wrong though. SOE isn't providing extras for US residents only, in the case of the Fan Faire anyway. AND ... you DO pay the same for the game, everyone does. 15 bucks a month. What you did NOT pay, was the cost of what quite a few of the people paid to register for the Fan Faire, fly to the Fan Faire and stay in Vegas. Even those who lived here had to pay money to attend. So, why ... if they paid MORE than everyone else who chose NOT to go to the Fan Faire, should they not get MORE? Follows the logic you've been providing.
Point is, after all is said and done, that you feel entitled to something because you pay for the game. Well, you're GETTING everything everyone else is getting for that price. People paid extra for the Fan Faire and they got extra. You couldn't be bothered to cough up the money to support them in their event that they put up for the people, so you deserve ... no more than anyone else who didn't go. End of Story.
