But to the idea of delete whole contents, I am going to have to disagree because of rares.  Just looking at the bag it is hard to tell which ones are rare, if I spent hours harvesting, then I will have a few in my bags.

uumm first off.. if ya hover your mouse over a bag it tells you what is in it. and secondly the whole idea of having to have you open the bag first is so ye can get the rare out and not accidentally delete it.  If you would rather click each and every stack just to delete them then good luck to ya.... To me that is waisting time.  (snip)

So, basically, you want to trade more thinking for slightly less dragging and clicking?  Because, to me, this wouldn't save time.  I often harvest late at night when I'm tired and not thinking straight, and trying to make sure I'm not accidentally destroying things I want to save would take way too much time in that state.  (As it is, I double check before deleting a stack the "long" way.)  Not to mention, I'm sure I'd have to shuffle things a lot to get a bag that's only things to destroy.

A more practical solution would be if stacking items had "destroy all" and "destroy quantity" options in the right click menu so you could choose to get rid of multiple stacks in fewer clicks.  (Personal inventory, house vault, personal bank, shared bank and guild bank contents would all be destroyed separately.)  This would save time but also minimize how much thought you had to put into it.  (I would use this feature a lot -- not only for harvesting raws, but also getting rid of annoying junk like vampire teeth, excess thoughtstones, etc.)  This would, imo, be the most efficient, safest way to destroy in bulk.
