It is indeed a sad day when your name gets yanked off of you! It seems to me that in old EQ1 a GM would send you a tell and make you change your name on the spot. It happened to a guildie of mine in those days who had chosen a somewhat off-color last name. It amused me, but I gather someone took offense, and so the name was changed.
Perhaps there are not enough GMs in EQ2 to take care of a personal tell....I don't know, but I still don't see what's wrong with the name. You're saying you think it's copyright infringement? I can understand that might be a problem, but sheesh, just one short gnome 
I wonder if you could get away with Black`Sabath? Yay I fixed the problem?
I hope that at least SOE will reply to the email/petition with something other than a canned response.
